Visited TGI's last week. A member of staff on the door was so incredibly rude and obnoxious. That we left and didn't bother to eat there. My friends and I never go there again. We went on to eat at Planet Hollywood, where the staff were charming and friendly!
The food was satisfactory. The customer service was awful, our waiter/ waitress Melinda and Mark F were rude and aggressive when we told them our order was wrong. The manager Alex pretended to deal with our complaint while sneering with the Melinda and Mark F. I'll never go there again nor will any of my friends.
I can honestly say everytime i have been to TGI's in leciester square i have always enjoyed the fact the staff always make a fuss over you.
On this occasion i was really disappointed in the way the staff had handled my complaint in the rudeness of a member of staff that i had put a complaint in about.
I will never be going back to TGI's in leciester square, she really had put me and my boyfriend off the place and i walked out of there feeling very disappointed and we went to planet hollywood instead, which we thoroughly enjoyed!!
Though the food is extremely overpriced, tgi'S never disappoints.
wow, really shocked by the service at tgi's. booked a chrsitmas dinner well in advance for 20 people, as soon as we arrived they told us we had to be out within 1 hour! starters and mains came at the same time, and the main meals were all cold. we all ahd to take it in turns to keep going back and forth to the bar for drinks because the staff were nowhere to be seen! then when we were leaving they asked for a service charge (we had already paid up front for the meal weeks before), so we all had to mess about each paying 10% extra. all the way through the meal they had a tanoy system shouting out when people's tables were ready. the whole meal was a disaster. would def not recommend going to this restaurant!
TGI Fridays has always been one of my favourite places to eat, I even found one of their venues in Taiwan on my 23rd birthday.
I have always had wonderful experiences at Covent garden's branch so I was more than surprised when I had a less pleasant at all dinner at their Soho branch last Friday.
Firstly they refused to let me book a table on the Tuesday (for the following Friday) so my large group of friends and I had to wait for 45 minutes which was absolutely fine, however;
When our table was ready, we told the hostess that two of our friends were just walking up the road & she rudely said 'no'. She then told us not only would our table be given to another group, but we would be put to the back of the que.
After a few minutes of her huffing & waving her hand at me, our friends arrived and we were seated.
Our Oriental waitress was lovely; sweet, friendly & professional.
We ordered cocktails and chose from their promotional menu-2 courses for £9.99-excellent value.
Everybody's starters arrived apart from mine so we politely called over a male waiter who did not appear pleased. He responded rudely enough for the entire table to notice & be quite ticked off.
The food arrived and it was honestly vile. I love American food and even though I'm a vegetarian, I love to tuck in to a hearty US meal but the vegy nurger they bought me was un-edible.
I didn't want to moan but my friends noticed and tried a bit, 3 of them tried & spat it into a tissue. It was rock hard, completely without flavour and the fries were dark & oily.
We had to ask twice to be brought mayonaise but it was a busy Friday night so that can be forgive.
But the rude staff who give the distinct impression that they did not want to be there watching others having fun and the horrible food can not so easily be forgotten.
They did take off £5 from my bill and £5 from my friend's as her main meal was un-edible too, which I appreciated.
They add 1
Over priced, cold food, rubbish service.
I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE TGI Fridays!!!! What a complete and utter waste of time and money. If I ruled the world all TGI Friday's would be burnt to the ground and covered in trees instead.
My family and I love TGI Friday's! It's a real child friendly place and the kids always find something they like on the menu.
Personally, I'm rather partial to a TGI Friday's burger. The puddings aren't bad either - gooey chocolate brownies! Mmmm.
