We've been to the Thai Corner Cafe many times and have never had any problems. The food's good, the people are nice. The BYO is a bonus. It's not going to blow your mind but is what it says it is - not one of the those overpriced, pretentious Thai "restaurants". No complaints and will continue to keep going back.

Went to eat there last night. The venue is nice and cosy and the fact that it is BYO is a bonus. The best dish of the night was the beef Masaman curry, but we were underwhelmed by the rest of the dishes. Disappointing spicy beef salad and there was no papaya salad on the menu at all. Average Thai restaurant, but fairly good value.

I agree that some of the dishes are, unquestionably, average, but what makes up for this is the unpretentious nature of the place and the fact that the dishes have been made with fresh ingredients and kept authentic, with no western influence on them...and why should there be.

I particularly like the glass noodle seafood salad, it's delicious!!I have been back many times and I hope the restaurant keeps it's modest appeal, I think this is the specific quality that keep the place going.

The Thai Corner Cafe does pretty good food. The atmosphere was cosy and relaxed and I felt comfortable in ordering food that I had never tried before.


I am not a huge fan of Thai, but the waiters were friendly and helpful and made the whole experience really enjoyable. I will definitely go back to the Thai Corner Cafe for more of the same.
