Rudest service I ever recieved in London. Waitress was pushy, dismissive, then ignored us, and at the end literally threw the bill at us without us even being finished. Attempted to bring this to the attention of the management and was ignored. Food is decent but quite overpriced for the area, and the service does not come close to matching the price tag. Try the Thai place on Exmouth Market (right down the road) instead.
I can't agree with the last two reviews.
Me and my boyfriend ate at Thai Square last Sunday and it was a very pleasant evening.
Although the restaurant was quite busy, staff were very friendly and we didnt have to wait long for our food, neither did we feel rushed to finish or such.
All of the dishes we had (mixed starters, special duck, spicy king prawns, coconut rice & sticky rice [yea i know we eat a lot :) ])
were tasty.
If I had to criticise something, I'd say the coconut rice could have been a lil more coco-nutty.
The dessert, coconut ice cream with mango sorbet, was divine.
All in all, a nice evening with very good food.
Very poor service and average food.
We ordered 3 starters to take away and were told they would be ready in 10 mins but waited over 30 mins. The hostess couldn't really care less.
The restaurant was busy but everyone seemed to be looking over their shoulder to call for service and the staff were stood around chatting!
The portions were small: 2 thin duck spring rolls with a very small tub of dipping sauce.
Bad food and rude waitresses! Do not order the chicken and veg clear soup.
Thai Square is a nice venue for a private event. The bar may be small, but the staff serve up the drinks in ample quantities and are pretty quick about it. Thai Square gave us another New Year's Eve to remember!
Thai Square Angel in Islington is one of my favourite places to eat. The food, quality of service and delightful atmosphere are second to none.
I've taken virtually everyone I know to Thai Square Angel at some point and had no complaints so far!
