The Best Dim Sum
The best dim sum at London restaurants is a tricky list to get right. So many average restaurants do dim sum well, and so many good restaurants don't. These little Chinese parcels of deliciousness are one of life's genuine joys, so take a look at the list below, pick a restaurant and prepare for the best dim sum in London.
Yauatcha Soho
15-17 Broadwick Street, Soho, London, W1F 0DL
Alan Yau might have sold to Abu Dhabi’s investment arm a little while ago but everything that made this such a brilliant restaurant remains. And much of that brilliance comes from what's without a doubt some of the best dim sum in London - not least their signature 'venison puffs', which are nothing short of sensational.

Min Jiang
Royal Garden Hotel, 2-24 Kensington High Street, Kensington, London, W8 4PT
The wood-fired Beijing duck might be what this Kensington restaurant classes as its speciality, but the dim sum are every bit as good - if not better. In fact, the dim sum is so good they've been given their very own menu, the precious little cherubs.

Royal China
13 Queensway, Bayswater, London, W2 4QJ
It might not be the flashest of restaurants, and it's not exactly cheap, given the less than salubrious surroundings. However, the dim sum here really is rather good - just make sure you go at lunchtime; dim sum isn't available at dinner.

Hakkasan Hanway Place
8 Hanway Place, Fitzrovia, London, W1T 1HD
There's a reason this restaurant is so popular with the famous faces: the food is superb. If you do swing by and spot the odd (insert relevant letter)-lister then they'll probably be tucking into some of Hakkasan's beautifully crafted dim sum. It's superb, and some of the very best in London.

Hung Tao
51 Queensway, Bayswater, London, W2 4QH
The rest of the menu might not be particularly great but the steamed prawn, the pork and prawn stuffed bean curd, and the meat mooli cake dim sum at this Bayswater venue really can't be missed. And it won't break the bank either, so everyone's happy.

Mamalan
Unit 18, Brixton Village, Brixton, London, SW9 8PR
Brixton Market has carved itself a pretty impressive reputation as one of the capital's real culinary hotbeds. And with Mama Lan serving such exquisite Beijing dumplings, it's really easy to see why. If you want authenticity, this is definitely one of the best dim sum restaurants for you.

Bo Lang
100 Draycott Avenue, Chelsea, London, SW3 3AD
Some seriously good dim sum makes this Chelsea place worth sampling. The tables are tiny but for the best dim sum in London, you can't do much better than Bo Lang.
