The Best Thai Restaurants
Thai cuisine, that beautiful marriage of sour, sweet, salty and bitter that instantly takes you back to when you found yourself on your gap year, travelling along the coast of Pattaya and Chonburi... oh to be bored by those tales again. Fret not, you won't hear too many of them in the best Thai restaurants in London, so take a look below and ready your taste buds for some deliciously authentic (and not so authentic) Thai fare.
Rosa's
12 Hanbury Street, Spitalfields, London, E1 6QR
This original incarnation of Rosa's has filled our greedy stomachs on more than a few occasions. The quality of the authentic Thai dishes are excellent and the deep-fried sea bass fillet with sweet and sour sauce on grilled pineapple is possibly - possibly - our favourite.

101 Thai Kitchen
352 King Street, Hammersmith, London, W6 0RX
This basic little Thai restaurant in Hammersmith is superb, and any Thai food fan worth their salt will have made the pilgrimage. One word of warning: it's very authentic, so some dishes will blow your head off. You have been warned.

Pepper Tree
19 Clapham Common Southside, Clapham, London, SW4 7AB
Anywhere that gets the thumbs up from someone like Rick Stein should be taken seriously, but when he says this serves the best Thai in London, it swifly becomes a must-visit venue. We wouldn't dare argue with the big man himself, but thankfully we agree - this popular Clapham venue has got it spot on, as it has with pretty much all of the menu. Highly recommended.

Busaba Eathai
106-110 Wardour Street, Soho, London, W1F 0TR
This small chain shook up London's Thai dining scene, serving top notch Thai food at ridiculously reasonable prices, especially in comparison with some of the established venues. You can only get mains, but that's fine with us when they're this good - go for the fried chicken with lemongrass, chilli, shallots and papaya, if it's on.

Paolina Cafe and Thai Restaurant
181 Kings Cross Road, London, WC1X 9BZ
This tiny little King's Cross restaurant might not look like the most appealing of places but the Thai food is certainly some of the best in London. It's also very cheap - and it's BYO - so you really should struggle to spend more than £20 a head. Which for food this good is pretty darn impressive.
