I used to work in The Caxton in 2002/3, sounds like it's improved since I was there.. used to open 4 - 9 then 11 till close..dangerous pub in its time but good clientele.

I have worked at The Caxton. Very friendly atmosphere, food was good, very clean pub and the boss was very kind too.

The Caxton is always busy when I walk past. I have never been in there because quite frankly it looks pretty bad. They have people drinking in there at 9am in the morning. The Caxton doesn't appeal at all.

As one of those often found in the Caxton at 9am let me reassure you all that the vast majority are night workers and not the disgraceful drunkards you might imagine! The pub itself is average, but choice is limited at 7am!
