I'm keen on the beer garden at The Chapel. The food is very tasty and I feel comfortable sitting in the sun with a pint in the evening after my dinner. The Chapel is a very underrated place and I think more people should realise how great it is.

I don't know why an old review popped into this week's newsletter, but praise of the Chapel is as valid now as it was then. As a customer here since it was the Pontefract Castle (look at the top of the building where the old sign is still visible) I should know.

Good food, a decent range of wines and beers, and a seat to be had if you time it right (i.e. not immediately after work).

The only downside, for which a mark has to be deducted, is the toilets. The main gents is a bit ropey and I am reliably informed that the Ladies is a disgrace!
