Brilliant experience at the Dell. Went to take in the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland and happened upon The Dell, open till 10pm. It's at the foot of the Serpentine, or the top end of the Wonderland, near the Observation wheel. Food is fresh and absolutely delicious - we had excellent cheese and chutney, and egg, sandwiches; delicious lentil stew; goats cheese, roasted veg and pumpkin seed salad; and oh boy, the desserts - we tried banana cake, fresh mince pie, jam and cream scone (made with a hint of coconut - yum) and quince and walnut muffin. All freshly made and delicious. They also have a selection of hot food which we didn't sample. Best of all were the staff, in particular the brilliant Khan - kept us smiling for an hour and a half with his cheerful disposition and courtesy. Can't wait to go back.
