I've been to the Farm a couple of times with friends for lunch and have never been dissapointed. The only thing to bear in mind is that on match days the menu is limited to a set menu and bar food. The dessert menu however isn't restricted, so tuck in and enjoy!
Thoroughly recomend this place and look forward to going back

I booked The Farm as a treat for my boyfriend and we took my brother and his girlfriend along too. Thinking we were going to have a nice lunch with good food, I was bitterly dissapointed. Although the portions were good, the food was cold and we waited forty minutes for the starter to arrive and another 40/45minutes for the main course to arrive.

On a plus note for this ridiculously over priced restaurant, the staff serving us were attentative although that could have been due to the lack of other customers in the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend The Farm to anyone.

I was looking forward to spending Sunday in The Farm with lovely food and my closest friends. The only good thing I can say about Sunday was seeing my Friends.

It started badly. When we ordered our food at The Farm bar we paid separately but ordered together. Two of our party ordered a starter which resulted in one main meal being delivered at the same time as the starter. No apology was offered and we were told it was our problem for paying separately, thus one of our group had to eat alone.

After the starter was cleared the remaining four beef dinners where served. Having paid £12.50 per dinner at The Farm we didn't think it was out of line to ask for some more gravy, as one dinner had less than a splash. After waiting for over five mins we asked again, only to be told we would be charged 50p if we wanted more gravy.

Having paid over £124 for food and drink we were outraged at the request. On top of that the food was cold.

The staff at The Farm were less than helpful. I am not surprised that this venue had less than a handful of people at prime time on a Sunday afternoon.

God, I am sooo over places like The Farm. It's like America is crushing us, swanky sandwich shop, after swanky sandwich shop. Not that this place is American I don't think. Anyway, it's all la dee da, spicy wrap this, piece of cake that. I just wish we could have a few more British tea shops back instead of flat pack cafes like The Farm.
Ok, rant over.

There are no sheep, wellies, or minor celebs masturbating pigs at The Farm so bear that in mind when booking. Instead, The Farm does tasty fodder to trough down on. I always have black pudding if it's on, and plum tart for pudding, but there are loads of classic dishes like Caesar salad and lamb shank to tuck into too.
The Farm is great for when you're hungry enough to eat a horse.
