I've been there twice now. In both cases one of the dish we ordered was very nice but the other was bad. Last night I ordered duck and it was so overcooked it was hard to eat! My boyfriend ordered lamb. It was very nice but today he has an upset stomach...

Also it's quite expensive, and what is more, it feels they keep trying to cheat you! We ordered a cake for desert and supposedly it came with an ice cream ball that they didn't bring. When we asked for it, they brought another desert: a glass of ice cream and they charged for it.

As the setting is nice we went back gave it another chance, but now I'm definitely not going back!

Being a regular customer myself I am very surprised you had such an experience.My boyfriend and I were very pleased to find this place,it looks nice the food is absolutely delicious and always fresh I must say.
I felt I had to reply as the duck(one of my favourites) I found especially tasty-moist and flavorsome.We keep going back since we live locally and often have there lazy breakfasts as well as cozy dinners.I must admit though that at first the food may taste different I've never had Georgian food before but it's impossible not to love it.Maybe it was just unconventional to you?
I can't comment on dessert matter as I've had an ice-cream which I paid for without cake though.
And finally I'm definitely going back!

I knew nothing of the food here and took a group there as a bit of an adventure, from the outside it doesn't look like much, but inside the décor is nice and welcoming, lots of cakes on display etc (a definite cafe feel to it, even though it's also a full on restaurant). The menu was extensive, lots to choose from and plenty to please veggies. The portions were generous and very tasty, a great introduction to Georgian food (of which I knew nothing... my best description would be Eastern Europe meets Persian - a little unsurprising due to Georgia's geographical location!) ....very tasty anyway.
I'd highly recommend it as an alternative dining experience, oh and it's byo so cheap on the booze front!
