The Goat has been there forever and I hadn't been in for a while. I went with some mates on Saturday and it has changed quite a bit since I was last in about 2 or 3 years ago. There was a real lively atmosphere with some great tunes playing on their stereo and loads of prety girls to look at! The only negative I had was that the toilet was blocked but one of the staff came to un block it while I was in there so I guess you can't complain too much when other customers have made a mess! We also asked to put match of the day on the TV but the manager didn't want to put the sound on because it was more of a party vibe - but then he moved us down to this private lounge where he put the TV and sound on for us! AWESOME! We also had a bit of food which was pretty good! My mates are having a party in Maggies next door so we will come in again before we go onto the club!

great place to meet up with the girls, house white is reasonably priced and better yet you can sit outside! friendly staff made it a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Pretty cool place this. I've just moved to the area and now spend way too much time there! The guys behind the bar are really nice and the food is great! The cocktails aren't bad either. It's really about the vibe - lots of cool looking people ready to go onto Maggies by the looks of them!

This is a terrible pub. The beer tastes very bad, the service is poor and they are simply incapable of making cocktails. Ok it's a pub but they advertise mojitos (£7). One of these took ten minutes to make, the bar maid consulted the recipe book 3 times (a drink with 4 ingredients) and at the end it still had no rum in it. But worst of all this pub smells appalling. Of course it smells of bad breath, stale beer and sweat and this on it's own woudl be bad but the stench of organic chemicals (perhaps cleaning fluid, floor polish or similar?) was so bad we had to leave because we could taste nothing else and were getting head aches. Please don't go here. Ever. it will ruin your evening, your week, your clothes, your marriage, your life. I'd rather have had a can of Tenants Super standing outside in the cold.

The Goat In Boots was being refurbished last time I passed by! This can only be good news, particularly if the Goats In Boots manages to go back to it's great traditional pub atmosphere.

Goat in Boots is a nice looking venue. However I would strongly discourage anyone for booking a party at the 333 bar upstairs.

I have 2 friends who booked birthdays there. The first one was booked a month in advance and when my friend called a week before to check everything was OK, 333 advised that it had been double booked and she could not be accomodated!

Mistakes like this do happen but what really amazed me was a few months later another friend booked 333. On arrival we discovered that they only had 1 bottled beer available (Corona). By 11.30 this had run out and they insisted on charging the full £5 for a spirit and mixer alternative.

When I voiced my concern to a member of staff about the bar running out of beer, the response was "so what do you expect me to do about it!"

Book here and your chances of disappointment are high, nevertheless it is possible that the issue of poor management will be dealt with sooner or later and things will improve...until then, I will drink elsewhere!
