The Goat In Boots was being refurbished last time I passed by! This can only be good news, particularly if the Goats In Boots manages to go back to it's great traditional pub atmosphere.

Goat in Boots is a nice looking venue. However I would strongly discourage anyone for booking a party at the 333 bar upstairs.

I have 2 friends who booked birthdays there. The first one was booked a month in advance and when my friend called a week before to check everything was OK, 333 advised that it had been double booked and she could not be accomodated!

Mistakes like this do happen but what really amazed me was a few months later another friend booked 333. On arrival we discovered that they only had 1 bottled beer available (Corona). By 11.30 this had run out and they insisted on charging the full £5 for a spirit and mixer alternative.

When I voiced my concern to a member of staff about the bar running out of beer, the response was "so what do you expect me to do about it!"

Book here and your chances of disappointment are high, nevertheless it is possible that the issue of poor management will be dealt with sooner or later and things will improve...until then, I will drink elsewhere!
