The worst service I have ever experienced. When selecting a delivery time of between 8pm and half 8pm, we were a little concerned when nothing had arrived and we hadn't heard anything by 8.45pm. A phone call to a rude, abrupt, woman (who frankly should be fired for the way she spoke to me) resolved nothing as they had only just started to cook our food. Apparently she had no manager, and said that the timing selection online didn't mean anything.
We will never be using this again and will be posting these comments on every website we can find.

Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Whatever you do, do not order from here. I rung up, firstly then put me on hold, then they finally got round to answering my phone call.

I stupidly persevered, I ordered Dim Sum, Veggie Pad Thai and Spring Rolls.

They told me that I should wait 45mins to 1 hr. I ring up after 55mins, only to be told the driver was on his way. I ring back after 1hr 10mins, only to be told the driver was just leaving.

I asked "but you just told me he was on his way 15mins ago?", I then got mumbling from someone who could just barely converse in English.

I didn't understand what he was saying, so I agreed and hung up.1hr 15mins later, the food turns up. The box was cold, inside the box, the dim sum was cold, the spring rolls were luke warm, plus and this is a classy point, I have never ever ordered spring rolls before and not got complimentary chilli sauce, there was none.

My wife, had to throw her dim sum away. I rung up and complained and asked to speak to the manager, I get the witless phone operator again, who said not a problem, I then heard he whispered to someone, and then came back and told me the manager was out on deliveries, and he apologised, I said "That's all well and good, but I just spent £25 on cold food, what was he going to do about it?"

He then hung up. I rung up again, was made to wait another 5mins while the witless wonder dealt with another phone call.

He then picked up the phone and told me my food was on its way, I told him they'd delivered my food and it was cold, he then went, and I couldn't believe this, "Let me go see my manager", who he just told me no more than 5mins ago was out of the office, and then came back and said the manager was too busy to speak to me.

Dreadful, this is minus stars. Save your money and go eat wood chip, you'll have a better eating experience.

Never eaten in Gourmet Oriental itself, but have ordered takeaway a few times. The food’s dead good – REALLY authentic – but after you order a few things it can be expensive, and you have to order £15 worth of food to get free delivery – which is a lot if you’re alone. Still, the food at Gourmet Oriental is good – so it’s nice for a treat.
