friendly staff but understaffed,claiming the pizza is 12" which it wasn't.
undercooked pizza very raw at the bottom.obviously the chef is using pans to save any hassle comes with the stone baked pizza.
I wouldn't recommend the place

Have visited this place twice (firstly in early December 2010 and more recently Feb 2011) and will not be returning. GU Camberwell has great potential. It's nicely kitted out, well positioned for the affluent local trade resident in nearby streets. It weakness is that the management and staff just can't be bothered. Surly and sullen staff and managers drift around in a dream occasionally stopping by the bar to serve a customer or two. Piles of dirty dishes lie unwashed on the bar top sending stale odours around the bar. Intending diners look on forlornly from their tables as plates of by now cold fries are whizzed around the bar destination unknown. The toilets (gents, at least) are dirty and smelly.

For the prices charged, this place needs to do better, much better

I totally agree.
understaffed, very pricey pizza for a raw one and not 12" as advertised.

It's sooooo good that the awful Grove Pub has been replaced with a Grand Union. I regularly go to the Brixton Grand Union as it's got a great garden, but it's brilliant that I now have one a bit closer to me in Camberwell. The burgers are yummy, and with 2 for 1 you can't go wrong! The atmosphere is just what I like in a pub - friendly but sophisticated.

I met Rose the manager who I organised my birthday party with last week. I'll review again when I have it next week. She's so fun and we got along great - I may even have a new friend hahaha! Well done Grand Union for bringing somewhere cool to go out in Camberwell! Xx

Shoestring fries are nice but go easy on the salt chef.

The burgers look nice but not sure how they taste.... as part of my order was forgotten.

Left to slep off back to work wondering...............
