Nice pub.
P.S. To the bands playing there, watch out,one night we played there, althought they had a bouncer staying at the door some thief stole a microphone to us during the break & of course the pub didn't want to refund us any money for it.Stingy till the end.

The Kings Head is a great pub in danger of going downhill.

After the sad passing of the landlord and director in 2005, the pub has been a little spruced up and some of the choices of new musical groups have been good. However others are becoming really tiresome. For example, Congo Faith Healers and Jimmy C really bring something. Suger T is sassy and fun but so boring after the group play exactly the same songs every Sunday - songs about dogging for heavens sake.

Why oh why have an original group like the Walking Wounded been relegated to an appearance once every 6 weeks or so, while Suger T is boooked every week.

Also the managers are becoming more grumpy than before. Beer prices have risen 20 per cent in a year, yet there is still no aircon.

Still a great pub - one of the best in the area, except for in summer when the heat is unbearable.
