I visited The Lane restaurant last week... My boyfriend took me there to celebrate my birthday. I was extremely pleased with his choice of the restaurant. Food was excellent and presented lovely, service so good, everybody very friendly and helpfull. Restaurant looks great and its a pleasant change to caribbean cuisine.

Visited the lane restaurant with my large party of guests recently and was totally disgusted with the tone of the manager attitude who SWORE AND WAS VERY VERY RUDE and unprofessional even though i had a confirm booking, he obviously overbooked my booking and refused to accomadate us how professional is that? There are so many other restaurants out there thriving for new business and providing a quality service and product THE LANE should be avoided like the plague........AS WE THE CUSTOMERS SHOULD VOTE WITH OUR FEET(YOU HAVE BEEN DULY WARNED)

Visited The Lane Restaurant following a concrete booking on Saturday 10th May 2008 as part of a party of 13 hungry diners. No deposit requested but Manager called member of party two days prior demanding deposit although booking made a month before and no deposit was requested upon booking. His tone at the time was extremely unprofessional. Tables for 13 split in two and put in foyer. Left standing for over an hour whilst arguing that tables could not be pushed together. Consequently we left restaurant without eating.

Really enjoyed my meal at The Lane Restaurant. We had traditional Fish and Chips, but it wasn't your standard greasy fish shop fare. The batter was lovely and crunchy and the fish was perfect. We will be returning to The Lane Restaurant for more next weekend.

Went to The Lane Restaurant a few weeks ago and it made a lovely change. It's a really modern venue and the food is delicious.
