I love love love this place!
It looks really cool but isn't at all pretentious. The staff are really friendly and knowledgable about the menu which is good because sometimes everything sounds so good it is really hard to choose!
I have had some excellent meals here and the meat and fish are especially very good.
You can easily get two excellent courses plus wine for less than £30 - much less than that with some of the special offers they have on.
My company is having their Christmas do here so I can't wait for that!

Have been to The Larder several times since they opened last year and have always enjoyed.
It is a refreshing place, no airs and graces, just very good food.

The food is fabulous with plenty of choice on the main menu, must change monthly at least, and a great specials board.

I usually have one of the fish dishes which are always a delight but this last time I opted for the calves liver. Boy was that a good choice!! The liver was delicious as was the the dreamy mash.

( I have seen Greg Wallace there a few times who I am sure must be difficult to impress. Obviously he is! )

I work across from the Larder and initially i used to go there a lot as i used to love their salads. However of late I have noticed that the the ingredients are not that fresh and because i am a vegetarian i detest the fact that the staff behind the salad counter use the same gloves to make both vegetarian and non-vegetarian salads and sandwiches. There is so much of cross-contamination between meats and the vegetarian fillings as well as between the various types of meats.

The staff should really wear disposable polythene gloves like most places do when dealing with different orders (e.g Subway). This avoids the cross contamination issues. These can be recycled as well. the other option is to have two separate counters, one with all the veggie fillings and the other with meat and veggie fillings.

Went to the Larder restaurant for lunch and than back another time for dinner. The whole experience was great: food tasted great and the daily specials are an extra bonus! Lunch time was pretty busy but service was friendly and we didn't wait too long for our food.

Dinner was more relaxed and the Italian waitress who looked after our table (on both occasions!) was really friendly, professional and great in explaining the menu and in recommending side orders.

Really liked The Larder and we will go back again!

Went to The Larder for lunch recently and I have to say the whole experience was fantastic. Excellent modern menu, well stocked bar, cool contemporary interior and great staff. All in all excellent value for money high with quality food. We’ll be back!

I had breakfast at The Larder twice and it couldn't have been worse! We ordered a normal breakfast and a veggie breakfast which arrived with the wrong eggs, which they practically swapped with gloved hands in front of us - lucky my friend didn't mind scrambled eggs on his plate. Then we realised that the veggie breakfast had black pudding on it! The veggie sausages were also disgusting. Go to Carluccio's the other side of the market for a much better breakfast.

On a recent visit to Clerkenwell, I spotted a fantastic looking new restaurant, The Larder. Food was fantastic, fresh Devon crab to start, followed by the Loch Duart salmon and a hot chocolate pudding to finish. They also have a bakery - quite a unique feature. Never seen anything like this before in a restaurant!

I have been to The Larder three times since it opened - it's that good. I love the fact that it's a restaurant, bar and deli so if you don't have time for a full lunch you can pick up something to take back to the office.
The menu is pretty eclectic so there's something for everyone.

The food is unfussy but full of great flavours. And everything is really really fresh. As a vegeterian, I'm used to having only one or two real options on the menu, but here I was spoiled for choice. And the desserts are to die for.

The Larder has a great atmosphere without being stuffy. It's somewhere you could go for a business lunch, dinner with friends or for Sunday brunch with family. Service is good, too. The Larder is an absolute gem in the heart of Clerkenwell. I love it!

They must have an impressive larder at the Larder as this place is fantastic. Excellent selection of dishes and extremely pleasant staff. Had a great time.
