I went this Saturday just gone. The staff was friendly and helpful. They offered to swap me to a less windy spot in view of the weather this Sat. Food was great, we had a selection of different meze. Loved the flatbread, the meat and the pistachio ice cream desert (they weren't too sweet which is how I liked it)! The location was great too, just next to the river.

I don't know why there are all these negative comments about this place. I've been there twice and I just love it and I highly recommend it. Staff, food and place are super nice, i loved their typical bread with taramosalata.

I wouldn't recommend this place. I went there today. The service was fine but it was dead in there. It didn't feel like a traditionally greek place as it had some random Rock music on in the background, would have been nice to here some Greek tunes. Also my food was cold. However im giving it two stars because my friend loved her food. Maybe it was just what i ordered. I had the Lamb Kefte slouvaki. I should have told them to warm it up really but I guess i'm just too polite and was with a friend so didn't want to make a big deal out of it. However I am sure there are plenty of other 'Real Greek' chains out there that are a lot nicer. Will probs try the Covent Garden one next time.

The food is OK but the service is hellish. The waiters and waitresses did not know a thing of what they were doing, mixing up orders and serving food at the wrong end of the table.

While we were clarifying the orders (which were missing), the waitress just took off and called a manager who rushed to our table and instead of asking what went wrong, she started yelling at us in such a horrendous manner.

We were shocked and very upset for being told off like that. We are never going back there. What a terrible experience!

This Monday, Bank holiday (13.04.09) my partner and myself were both attracted to the very large sign outside Real Greek advertising their "EVERY MONDAY IS £2 MEZE DAY".

It IS a Monday so we assumed that we would get the offer. The bill arrived and when we queried the price, which was at least £15 over what we thought we had to pay, we were taken to the blackboard and there in minuscule writing was a disclaimer: Except for Bank holidays.

According to the waiter (very nice waiter by the way), this is a new offer which only went up today!!

The manager was not open to the suggestion that it was deceitful to have put up the board on the day that the offer does not apply and that it was confusing to the customer.

The waiter did say that several other customers complained - and while some inquired before the meal about the offer, most were hoodwinked into thinking that the offer applied to today.

My irritation is towards businesses who take consumers for fools and expect consumers to query offers made to them while they take no accountability for their deceitful way of conning customers in. Come on Real Greek! Where's your integrity?!

This is an AMAZING venue! All their restaurants are really very special as each one has a different atmosphere but one thing is for sure, the food and the service at each and everyone of them are always consistently good! The food is such a healthy alternative to all the rubish that is out there and it really is very good value for money. I am very excited about their new site at Westfield...they have been so busy that I have not had a chance to dine there yet, but the design looks fantastic!!! Currently Bankside is definitely my favourite...something about the view over the Thames and St. Paul's just makes it so special. But having seen Westfield, I think I am will definitely be spending quite a bit of time there from now onwards...especially since it will end up just being the perfect ending to a great day of shopping!GO REAL GREEK!!!!

I went the to the Real Greek on Friday night and was so dissapointed.

I recomended this place to my friends as I had been there before(granted this was about 18 months previous) however the menu had undergone a vast change. Gone had the menu where you could order a main meal for yourself, instead in had come mezes (Greek for Tapas). We did exactly what the menuu suggested and ordered three mezes per person (each roughly £5). We were however deeply dissapointed by the size of portions, our lamb kebab mezes came, but there was only one kebab (this wasn't even substantial, 1 skewer of shrimp came (3 shrimp on a stick) and the kalamari was tough and didn't even seem to come from one whole squid. Luckily we had ordered two plates of bread so had filled up slightly on this prior to our less than ample selection. I was actually so dissapointed with the food (even though it tasted good) I asked to speak to the manager to voice my opinion.

The manager appeared and I told him my dissapointment only for the manager to patronize me by telling me "he didn't know where I usually dined but the food he served was top quality and made on the premises". I had not disputed the quality of this man's food only the value for money which I thought was more than lacking. In fact I dine out regulalry as part of my job and have never felt undercut by any of the other fine restraunts I've been to e.g. Claridges, the Goucho Grill or Coq D'argent. I don't mind paying well for a meal but I expect to feel full at the end of it which I certainly did not at the Real Greek, I would therefore go as far to say that The Real Greek is a Real Rip Off!

This restaurant is terrible, from ambience (cold interior), service (rude and amazingly unattentive) and the above all the food. We got our souvlaki cold first time round and when we eventually got a waiter over and had the food reheated we could not eat it as it was so bad. Even to just get some fries to tie us over whilst waiting for the reheating was a major mission. Don't go there!

We had an office party at the Real Greek Souvlaki and everything was fantastic. Great food, even too much to eat, very good and fast service. I will come to Real Greek Souvlaki again!
