Probably the most expensive meal I've ever had......but this is not entirely the restaurants fault.

Having looked around for some posh nosh, my girlfriend and I decided to get dressed up and try this place out, after all it is highly recommended on many web sites.
We were not dissappointed.

The service was like a Ballet, every mouthful a delight, plus many little surprises in the form of Petit fours, and wonderful chocolate coated fruits.

The wine list is extensive, though we chose to stick with Champagne throughout (Hence a big part of our bill), plus the restaurant has a special sample menu with wines included for about £120 per head.

A very special evening, though we did feel as though we needed to whisper which was kind of bizzar! The large room was rather quiet, even though it was mostly full.

I was tempted to knock a star off for the weird atmosphere, but we had such a lovely evening, they can keep it.

Like the dining area - large windows and airy, lots of room between tables/privacy. Service friendly and attentive. Expansive wine selection. Food delicious and perfectly and artistically presented. Lots of goodies between courses and with tea/coffee you could fill you up, so pace yourselves! A really pleasant experience both times we have eaten at The Square, and returning soon for a third time. From the USA.

The food at The Square is great, really tasty. We were impressed with the menu when we went a few weeks ago (not to mention the wine list) and had a very enjoyable evening there.

The Square is definitely worth a look if you want a nice meal out on a special occasion.
