What a great place. The menu is short but, really diverse. Six of us went for dinner and we all found something to suit us.
The Pork Belly starter was my favourite and the Onglet steak went down well with the very reasonably priced wine. Good value all round.
The staff were really friendly and achieved a great balance. Welcoming, knowledgeable and very attentive without popping up at the side of the table every two minutes.
The couple who played an eclectic collection of jazz and pop songs in the corner just added to the quiet sophistication of the place.
Good night out. Now I'm looking forward to a Sunday Brunch.
Really nice venue, nice layout with outdoor space. Hopefully it was just me who got unlucky with my order. Eggs Benedict wasn't great, a mountain of over cooked bacon and Luke warm eggs. Worth a second visit as it may have been a one off and it's a cool place for brunch in the summer especially.
We ate here one evening as part of the Times Eat Out offer and were so glad we made this choice. Better known as a daytime eatery, the place transforms itself into an intimate and relaxed restaurant at night, where the staff are so friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food was outstanding, fresh and well presented and you can see the chefs preparing your meal in the open kitchen. But what made it really shine from other places was the small touches like a jug of water on the table, refilled without you asking and the knowledge and passion shown by the waiter for the food he was serving. Even if we were not using vouchers on the night I would have been more than happy to pay full price and certainly recommend this restaurant.
I didn't realise that The table opened in the evening, I have only being along for a Sat breakfast, so last night was nice surprise. I love the attention to detail like the water jug, your have to go to see what I mean, and the service was excellent, thank you Rachel!
It has a really nice atmosphere with a nice mix of people and kids (well behaved kids at that!!) The food and wine was fresh and busting with flavour, i loved the leek, snail, and chorizo. All together one of best evenings I have out in a long time!
We went for Saturday lunch, and despite the fact the place was only half-full, and there were plenty of staff (I counted nine at one point) the service was excruciatingly slow.
It took 15 minutes to take our order, a further 15 mins to get a glass of water (that came in a dirty glass) and the food took over 25 minutes.
The food was good - uncomplicated, and tasty, but I had been waiting so long and was so hungry I would have been grateful for anything. Everyone knows how long it takes to poach an egg, and it is not half an hour.
The service charge is automatically added, but we did not pay it, as there is no excuse for service as poor as that.
After wandering through the Tate modern and the surrounding area last Sunday we came across the Table and had I quote" the best eggs Benedict ever!" great bacon and a velvety hollandaise sauce... oh and the coffee made waiting for the food well worth it.. cya again soon :-)
Nice food but wouldn't recommend Sundays, too busy. When I complained that our order appeared to get lost I was told they had 'More customers than they could cope with'. A lesson there I think. Be aware that the discretionary 12.5% service charge is at their discretion not yours! Don’t sit by the door either, very windy!
What a fantastic place - really great ingredients, freshly prepared by a staff who all work really hard to look after you.
I had breakfast here twice this week, and was really impressed.
I can't wait to be back in London to visit again. Beats anything else I've ever tried.
