I can't imagine anything nicer than sitting looking out over the greenery while drinking an excellent Spanish grenache at The Terrace. The sunshine helped, as did the cheery disposition of our waitress. My other half had big crayfish tails and beetroot marinated smoked salmon. I was surprised by how much contribution the beetroot cure made - a sweet earthiness against the oily fish.


I had the beef rib that came with three relishes. We followed up with London smoked haddock and a burger. The fish was pronounced delicious with new potatoes and egg. The burger was pretty chunky, made with what looked like hand cut steak. A really deeply meaty flavour to it. Next time I want something substantial before a night out I'll be avoiding McBurger and popping back to The Terrace for sure.
