The Yeast Noodle Bar is great! We ate there tonight and the food was sooooo good - Everything was all really fresh and very reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is very low key and it only seats about 20 people - but the food is so worth going for if you like good Chinese. We had a starter and shared a main (which was more than enough), plus had beer and tea and the total cost was £12. Very good, we will be going back! The service was also excellent. I think the its family owned and the waiter is the owner. Again, please go and try it if you want a low key meal that is excellent food at an excellent price!

The bad news is The Yeast Noodle Bar is no longer strictly BYOB, they will let you bring your own wine (not beer) but they charge for corkage.


The great news is that as well as selling very cheap yet decent wine and beers the noodles in Yeast Noodle Bar are incredibly good value. Although the ambience leaves a little to be desired the noodles are superb, priced at £5.00- £7.00 the fried and soup noodle dishes for one are mainly Chinese in origin but a lot of other staples of noodle fayre are covered. The ingredients seem very fresh.


Finally, this place is 100 yards from Wagamama, and is cheaper, tastier, fresher and 100 times better.
