Yet another jewel in Clerkenwell’s crown, Three Kings of Clerkenwell offers entertainment until closing thanks to its jukebox - and resident cat!

The Venue
Just off Clerkenwell Green, Three Kings of Clerkenwell offers a retreat for local workers. Quirky decor (full-sized mounted rhino head and chandeliers included) and Seventies furniture make this a top pub to drink in.

Downstairs, there’s enough space for 100 people, with two rooms upstairs catering for 20 more. Street drinking is allowed when the rafters begin to creak under the weight of a full pub, letting visitors enjoy the beautiful Clerkenwell view. Venture into the toilets and the eclectic decoration continues, with a paper mache collection of magazine pages and posters plastered on every crevice. Even a school-style toilet with chain is included.

The Atmosphere
Upstairs at the Three Kings of Clerkenwell, you’ll find nothing but chilled out relaxation, where friends gather for a pint and a chat. Downstairs, the atmosphere is buzzy, brimming with office and arty types on Fridays nights.

During the day, you’ll find more office types sitting around enjoying a slightly classier munch compared to other pubs in the area. There's a fusion of Asian, British and Mediterranean snacks and larger meals on the menu, all priced at around £5.

The Music
The highlight of the Three Kings of Clerkenwell has to be the jukebox, hidden upstairs in a room adorned with cracked leather sofas and swivel chairs. You’ll find a mix of '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s and '00s vinyl loaded into the traditional machine. What plays is down to whoever feeds the jukebox with small change, but there’s guaranteed to be a cracking tune or two. If you’re in the area for a Saturday night, pop along and you may find a live band playing.

The Drink
The drink here isn’t particularly inventive with the normal collection of lager on the menu. If you’re lucky, the bar staff will stir up a cocktail upon request - and rumour has it that the landlord serves up the best Bloody Mary in Clerkenwell.

The Last Word
If you’re looking for a traditional boozer with a quirky twist, the decor at Three Kings of Clerkenwell is worth a visit alone. A jukebox makes you the DJ, and tasty food is perfect for a chilled out lunchtime.
