More than bush tucker
Visitors to the Toast Festival can celebrate world class cooking from some of London's very best restaurants, with a variety of high profile names celebrating their cultural cuisine. A top chef and sommelier combination will also be on hand to give advice on matching your wine with food, so you'll be pairing up combinations in no time.
Special menus at Toast Festival
From seafood platters to sticky spare ribs and salt and pepper squid with sweet chilli to Thai duck salad, there should be plenty to suit all tastes at the festival. Visitors to the event can tuck into authentic, gourmet South African, New Zealand and Australian cuisine and enjoy a slice of down under culture at Clapham Common.
Live entertainment
A line up of live acts will be performing at the festival, with South Africa being represented by Goldfish. Kiwi legend Jayson Norris will be headlining on Saturday, and all the way from Australia, Gyroscope will be playing on Sunday. The crowds will definitely be out in force for lively fun at Clapham Common, with plenty to do in between tasting sessions.
Get cultured
Toast will not only be just about the food and music. There'll be plenty of stalls selling a range of typically Antipodean and South African delights, with fashion and jewellery products available. So get yourself something pretty to wear, just before you gorge on the great food.
Three days of Southern Hemisphere fun
The 2010 event takes place over three days with each country celebrated on a different day. Toast South Africa takes place on Friday 24th September from 3pm - 9pm; Toast New Zealand takes place on Saturday 25th September from 11am - 7pm; and Toast Australia takes place on Sunday 26th September from 11am to 7pm.
