What a pleasure to be served authentic home made food of such good quality. I have been going for my monthly sometimes fortnightly fix now since Tombo opened last year. The staff is always warm, friendly and most helpful and the decor so pleasing. Best of all being a food-nut the variety and daily specials are always very satisfying.

I just enjoyed a delicious lunch at this lively and unassumingly cool restaurant. Staff were very polite and attentive and there was a good mix of ppl dining there including a number of Japanese which is testament to both the authenticity and quality of the food. Teriyaki chicken and the salmon were both very tasty.

This place is fantastic! My girlfriend and I came here for lunch. We had some sushi, tea and cake, all of which were absolutely delicious, especially the blueberry and lavender cake. The staff are extremely friendly and good at their job, and the decor is gorgeous. Tombo is a brilliant treat in South Kensington, would heartily recommend.

Tombo is a wonderfully cosy little hideaway in the middle of South Ken. The staff are polite and friendly and the interior has a real rough and ready charm. I would particularly recommend the gyoza and the mattcha macarons. Tombo serves the best Japanese desserts in London.

I would highly recommend Tombo as a great place to eat or have a relaxing tea or coffee. They have a wide range of authentic Japanese food all of which was delicious. I had belly pork with rice while my girlfriend had salmon and both were excellent. The green tea cake and coffee that we had were also fantastic. To top it all off the cafe has a very nice fresh feeling decor. All in all a great place and somewhere I look forward to coming back to soon.

A lovely cafe serving authentic and delicious Japanese food. All the food, teas and cakes are fantastic but I particularly recommend the Chicken Bomb Donburi and the unparalleled Lanka cakes - both amazing. By far the best place to stop for lunch if you're visiting the museums.

If you want to taste real Japanese food, this is a must-go place! You should also try "Mathca Latte" - it's made with nicely sweeten green tea powder and milk instead of coffee. It's my favourite :)

Am Japanese. I had a roll sushi - Teriyaki Salmon. This was very good to my taste. It was much bettrer than that of chain Sushi such as It's, YO Sushi. My wife took A Green Tea Gateau. She liked it very much. The owner is Japanese and all staff in the kitchen are Japanese. The interior is very cozy and you can feel relaxed. I would like to test some other menu next time. It is sure you will like it. Please try!!

Tombo - the new family run addition to the South Kensington cafe scene - is a wonderful blend of gourmet and style. The decor is light, relaxed and surprisingly homely, whilst the Japanese menu is bold and delicious.

Don't miss the hand-made maki rolls, 'donburi' (rice bowl) dishes, or the exquisite selection of cakes and teas.

Congratulations to Colin and Maname on a wonderful new venture.
The ambience is fresh crisp and calming and the food is bright adventurous and stimulating. Real Japanese food made fresh daily and with real passion. Well worth a visit.
