Love this place! Just discovered it and agree with the comments below that it's currently holding the title for best burrito in London. Fresh salsa and guac, good size burritos, unbelievable meats (chicken is amazing). Place is a bit cramped, and I agree with the guy from SoCal below that it's unfortunate the chips aren't made fresh, but still, not bad.

I'm from Northern California (SF) and, with all due respect to my compatriate from Southern California, if you check out the website, they pay homage to the Mission District of San Francisco, which is the global burrito capital (go NorCal!). So therefore, I would disagree with two of the below comments:

- There's plenty of coriander/cilantro. How much do you want? Don't want to have it overpowered. That's your subjective perspective.

- Any self-respecting taqueria in San Francisco has either Cholula or Tapatio on their tables. Tapatio for the cheap places, Cholula for the top-tier. It's a courtesy, not a requirement. Don't have it if you don't want it. Personally, I love Cholula. I was thrilled to see it on the tables.

In any case, this place obviously isn't a Southern California place. Easy to tell because there are no refried beans (!). Very much reminds me of home and certainly takes inspiration from Chipotle.

By the way, a true Southern Californian calls it "cilantro", not "coriander".

As for the steamed burrito, definitely a subjective matter. Steaming has its advantages (moist, sealed, tastier) but so does grilled (toasty, firm). The debate continues...

I am from So Cal and I agree with a couple comments below def the closet to decent Mexican food in London.

HOWEVER, ANY SELF RESPECTING SOUTHERN CALIFORNIAN WILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE FOLLOWING:

1. Store bought tortilla chips and just unacceptable.

2. Not enough coriander.

3. If I have to add cholula to my burrito it means it does not have enough flavor.

The tag line of Southern California Mexican food couldn't be further from the truth. While the food is tasty it certainly is in no way similar to the what I have been eating my entire life.

Don't mean to rain on the parade but while the food is good it certainly doesn't warrant a perfect 5 out of 5 rating. I'm from San Francisco where eating a burrito is a religious awakening... The chicken is tasty but the large burrito is pretty tiny for the price, and the steamed tortilla ends up being a bit too wet.

I give this place more than 3 stars. I am also from San Francisco, and this is the closest thing to the real deal. My burrito was so massive I could not finish it. The pork is amazing and their salsas are very fresh. The tortilla was fine for me. I would rather it was warm than a dry tortilla, that is not how Mexican food is served. - Report

Never really been into mexican food as it's always greasy and quite stale but this was really good - you could see the meat being grilled and all the ingredients were fresh. I'll definitely be going again even if it does mean a long trip in to Angel!

It's fab. Great food, all freshly made infront of you, lovely people and a buzzing atmosphere. Very orginal idea. Wish I had one in the local area. But will always be on my list when in Angel.

Love it! Love it! Love it!
Havent been to Mucho Mas but at this point I dont really care anymore. Tortilla is awesome and just across from the Angel station. Burritos are filling and you can build it to your desire.

Hallellujah!
