We visited this branch with my friend last Saturday. Pork burritos with spanish rice, guacamole & extra chillies for around £6 were a good value for money. Food seemed fresh & was very tangy - if you need something quick & warm this option will meet your need.
I visited their store a couple of days ago. You have to queue for 10mins or so, but food is really good, especially now when it's getting colder I really craved for some hot and quick meal and their burrito it's exactly what I needed.
I tried this place recently and found it great. I love Mexican food and the burritos here are excellent - you get your own choice of fillings as they make it in front of you with your choice of meat, beans rice, salad and sauce. I can highly recommend the shredded pork! You shouldn't be put off if you don't like spicy food though - you can have you burrito/taco/salad with mild lime and coriander salsa up to the wickedly hot salsa roja!
They also stock a nice selection of beers. A bottle of Pacifico is the perfect accompaniment to a nicely spicy burrito. The atmosphere of the place is good (it's obviously popular) and the decor is tasteful and looks like it's had thought and money put into it.
Highly recommended!
I'm a fan of Mexican food and this place offers a tasty cuisine. Focused mainly on burritos and tacos (also fish ones served exclusively on Tuesdays)you can get them either with meat or a vegetarian option. The restaurant itself is very welcoming, with friendly service. Been there few times already and food always seemed fresh so I'll give them an extra star for that.
The Tortilla near Oxford Street really came together in these last few months. With a new decor it doesn't feel like a fast-food place any more - but a place that you actually want to spend time in. I am still not a big fan of their frozen margarita - the second one always gives me brain freeze. But I really like the burritos and the atmosphere.I even dare say I am starting to like it better than Chipotle...and that's really something since I am still nostalgic about the time I spent in the States.. Anyways, well done Tortilla!
Tortilla offers a great alternative to the Subway/McD's/Burger King that have swamped the high streets. The buffet style choice of fillings (a la Subway) lets the customer chose their own unique selection and all the ingredients are there right on front of you nice and fresh (prepared or cooked).
The in house guacamole is fantastic, selection of fillings are delicious and staff very friendly. Service is, as you can expect, speedy but that does not mean you are in and out - I was unsure on what filling's to go for and the serving staff were more than happy to recommend or say what they enjoy.
Tortilla is a great alternative the run of the mi9ll sandwich/burger fast food. The Mexican/American burrito is a new option for the high street and one I would definitely recommend!
Yummy food, very appetizing. Pork not too salty and made just right, also spicy salsa needs to be mentioned - you set my tongue on fire! Will be coming back soon.
Very good quality of food as well as friendly staff. The lovely weather finally allows to sit outside and enjoy your meal with a cool corona & lime. Will try to come back soon.
Lovely food , looks a bit like a subway (you start being served from rice to salsa following the line) but it's so much better. I thought it's like a fast food but it's not greasy or unhealthy, everything looks so fresh, i'm vegetarian and i've got some extra beans and guacamole. I'll recommend to my friends and probably become a regular customer - they're situated very close to my work and they've served me the best lunch in this area so far.
I have had lunch there twice and enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere on both occaisions. The portions are generous, the food was fresh and full of favour and despite having to line up to be served, the service was quick. Value for money - i will most certainly be back whether for lunch or a Mexican beer with tortilla chips after work! Thanks guys!
Amazing service, amazing value and food that will take you to the whole new level! Ideal place for a quick lunch.
I already know the Tortilla Shop in Islington... And I love it! Good food and not too expensive. Now I just found out that there is a new shop around the corner of my work. Perfect! Went there today. Really nice. The food was good. Even during lunch we did not need to wait too long. Nice place for a quick break during work (we stayed in, but you can also order take away) or even a shopping trip.
