I went to Trattoria Mondello yesterday evening with my boyfriend. The food was flavoursome and incredibly well priced. We have visited numerous restaurants in London and I would honestly say this is by far the best place to eat! Friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Was very busy on a Wednesday evening, which is always a good sign! We will definitely go back again and again and i've already recommended it to several friends.

I didn't have high hopes for this place but I was pleasantly surprised! The bruschetta was tasty, as was my spaghetti puttanesca. My friends had chicken escalope and cannelloni, which they were very happy with. Slow but friendly service, and a lovely family feel. Dinner for three people (starter, main, shared dessert and two very drinkable bottles of red wine) was £60.

In my humble opinion, Trattoria Mondello is the best place to eat in London. The food is fantastic home-cooked Italian fare that's great value for money too.

I'm always made to feel incredibly welcome here and no matter how busy the restaurant is, the service is always good and you're never rushed through your delicious meal. I have only praise for Trattoria Mondello - it's a delightful restaurant.

I am really surprised by the good reviews this restaurant is getting. I went last night and thought the service was bad. The waitress insulted my friend by saying she looked underage and then tried to lighten the situation by asking her age and making out she was getting old.

I ordered some bread and asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar - the waitress dumped said articles on the table - 2 bottles and bread and told us to do it ourselves.....good service manners.

The food was mediocre boarding on bad. I was offered tartar sauce to go with my soggy calamari, but what the waiter dumped on my plate was a day old encrusted slop. He had the audacity to ask me if anything was wrong when I looked at him shocked.

I ordered pizza thinking it was a safe option, the pizza tasted shop bought, my friend ordered the monk fish - well I think it was, it was so drowned in sauce it was hard to see.
