Truly's as its known by the locals is a small Cafe that makes and sells sandwiches and hot food. You used to be able to get good food for about £3 which was ideal. Unfortunately possibly due to the recession the portions are getting smaller and the costs have gone up. In the 6 years I have been going to Truly's I have seen the cost of hot food go from £3 to £5 (for pasta) as it was today, this didn't include the cost of a drink as well which took it to £6, I can eat next door at Belgo's for £6.

Most of the hot food is reheated in the microwave, which is fair enough when you are paying the lower prices, but if you are going to raise the costs so much then you really need to do the same for the quality of the food.

Also I can get a meal at Camden market of the same quality for only £3.50 and the portions are bigger......Sorry Truly's it was nice knowing you.

Nice little venue on Chalk Farm Road serving sandwiches and snacks at lunchtime - some delicious combos available.
