Compared to a lot of the overhyped, trendy Japanese restaurants popping up all over the place, Tsunami is pleasantly down to earth and lively. The food is really delicious and fresh, although, as another reviewer commented, they can occasionally bring the main courses either in the wrong order or too soon. A fairly inventive menu with a nice twist on traditional Japanese food. The service is very friendly and welcoming.

Japanese is probably my favourite Cuisine and this is one of the best Japanese restaurants I've been to! Everything was delicious including the wine, service was great lovely waiter who also suggested some great dishes to try. A bit on the expensive side but sea food always is. Would definitely go back here!

We love sushi and this is the best sushi we have had in years. The menu was very vegetarian friendly too.

Its a little expensive so I think we will only be going for special occasions. I wish I could afford to eat there every night though.

Disappointed. After reading lots of good reviews, my wife and I booked for lunch due to a special occasion.

Starters were just OK but one of the mains then came out before we'd finished the first course.

The second came some while later and was not very special at all, under seasoned and late!

A 20% discount displayed during booking and in the window was not offered, making this an expensive outing given the average food on offer.

Its certainly not the worse Japanese food we've had, but given our experience I would say it is was overrated.
