I visited UNo restaurant last night. My friend enjoyed her salmone tartare for starter and I was munching on carpaccio di manzo. Both very fresh and light. Main course arrived shortly after and again we really enjoyed it. I love the pizza they make at this place. We shared chocolate fondant for dessert, very nice. UNo is a wonderful place
UNo has fantastic food. They make their own pasta in their kitchen. I wish I could have my lunch here every day :) I bring my clients here often; it’s a good place for a business meeting if you get the table at the back room. The staff are very friendly, I get my cappuccino as a good will gesture at the end of my meal!
Our company celebrated Christmas at UNo restaurant. Extremely delicious set menu for very reasonable price. The restaurant was nicely decorated and had a real Christmas feel. Efficient, fast service, it probably helped that Christmas parties pre-ordered their food. I ordered beef fillet steak, juicy and tender. The other dishes looked stunning too, shame we couldn’t have a taste of each ? I loved the bread and butter pudding with vanilla ice cream which was the perfect end of my Christmas meal. Overall great lunch. We all enjoyed it.
Uno restaurant delivered to my expectation. I had burrata for starter and delicious fresh salmon pasta. My girlfriend had a special of the night white truffles risotto! This dish was outstanding! You get lots of truffles for the price you pay. We shared a nice bottle Gavi di Gavi recommended by the person in charge. Thank you again for the recommendation.
Very, very poor service – an hour to fail to get our food and an extremely agressive response from the manager when we asked where it was. Eventually, after an hour and after having been insulted by the manager we paid for what we had been served and left without any sign of the main courses.
There were three of us, the restaurant was less than half full and it was about 9.00pm on a Saturday night. Agreesive protestations from the manager that it was unreasonable to expect our food in less than a hour were hardly appropriate.
The first courses that did come also took an age and were ordinary and poor value. Burnt toast under the chicken livers and a staggering £7 for a very small amount of rocket and some shavings of parmesan.
The waitress was charming but terribly ill-informed. It was her first night but she was clearly not being given much by way of support from the ‘management’.
A shame. The location is good and the restaurant looks nice. The kitchen needs a shake-up and the manager should be ashamed of himself. Rude, aggressive and just plain wrong in his approach to customers. Do yourselves a favour and go somewhere else
I ate there the other day and was pleasantly surprised. The food looked very high standard and when I actually tasted it I was left dribbling at the mouth. Everything I ate was just so mmmmmmmmm. Highly recommended.
I visited this restaurant in January 05 and was extremely impressed. The service was excellent, the menu varied and interesting and the food was genuinely delicious (and not too expensive) - I have paid far, far more (Sketch, the Wolseley) and got less. Very highly recommended. Nice atmosphere too - enough customers to make you feel pleased that you secured a table, not enough to mean you don't get the waiter's attention when required.
