We came from SW London for Wakabaand it was worth the journey. I love the John Pawson minimalist decor (one of the greats of the genre), and the food was outstanding. Apart from wonderful fresh sushi and sashimi, there is an extensive menu to suit every taste (my 11 year old son has never eaten so much!), and friendly, helpful staff. No good Japanese restaurant will be inexpensive, but Wakaba is more than value for money. An experience to be repeated.

The score is given for the lunch buffet. The food at Wakaba was fresh and authentic. You don't normally pay only £6 to have a proper chef making sushi in front of you plus you also get a fair range of selection as well. I personally loved it there but if you are the kind of person that goes for fancy food and funky decor then Wakaba won't be your kind of place because it would be too "down-to-earth" for you.

I just returned from the worst Japanese food experience of my life!
There are many better Japanese restaurants nearby, please tell all of your friends don't go here!
