I read the above review and I am dumbfounded!

I visit the Wright Brothers frequently with work colleagues and friends and haven't been able to fault it in the 3 years I have been there.

Of course they all know me now as they do all their many regulars, since they have all been there since I first visited this place back in 2006.

Do you think staff would stay that long in a place where the manager/owner/other staff members are derogatory to them? I wouldn't.

All front of house staff are really helpful and welcoming and have always tried to do their best to accommodate us the best they could.

In such a small restaurant which is always as packed as this one, I m always glad to have a spot, and the BEST ones ARE at the counter since this is a COUNTER DINING RESTAURANT.

The best thing about this place is the theatre and the conviviality. I would have thought that for such a special occasion as a birthday, one would have enquired the concept of this wonderful eatery before booking a spot and then complain about it.

It deprives us lot who enjoy it so much from getting a seat there! If I use this ignoramus' reviews argument in the defence of the Wright Brothers, how is the person who takes your booking over the phone supposed to know it is your first visit?

What if you've made your booking online? what if a friend has booked it for you? or secretary?

If I don't want to seat at a counter I don't go to a counter dining restaurant. For the same reason I never take carnivorous or vegetarian friends to a fish specialist restaurant.

I eat there every week and they still call me to confirm, and when they can't reach me, they usually leave me a message with all my booking info and ask me to ring them back to confirm.

As a respectable human being myself I normally return the courtesy. You obviously did not.
