Really super experience again at Yas, this time around I had the house Salad (YAS salad) which is a really yummy vegetarian salad with feta, raisins, dates, walnuts etc! Very nice indeed, I'll be back!
It's the third time we've eaten here and and absolutely loved it, we want to go back again! We're both vegetarians and had read a review of the place in the press. We were well catered for and ate some delightful Persian food.
Really enjoyed eating here for the first time on Saturday night. The food was well priced and we all thought it was delicious. The atmosphere was really nice with a warm ambiance and the staff took good care of us.
The food was reasonably good in this Persian restaurant, but the service was appalling. It completely ruined our meal. The waiting staff could not pronounce the names of the dishes, and referred to them by number (this is not acceptable in a restaurant). They made numerous mistakes with our order and the mishandling of the serving of our starters resulted in some of our party being served their main courses as others were being served their starters. And as some of our party were finished before others as a consequence, the table was stripped making my friends who were still eating feel like they needed to cling onto their plates out of fear they would also be whisked away from under their noses. This is not a comfortable way to enjoy a meal. At the end, we were overcharged. There seemed to be a veritable army of staff standing along a wall laughing and gossiping, but not at all paying attention to the diners. The staff are badly trained and badly managed. This restaurant is not recommended.
Expensive compared to the food value. Service charge was included, no wonder because it was really poor. Little variety on the menu and very boring food. I definately won´t return, haven´t eaten so badly in ages.
I've stumbled into Yas quite a few times, as it's just round the corner from me and open till about 4 in the morning every night. Great Iranian food (not that I could tell you exactly what that is) and it's licensed as well.
Needless to say, I'm usually blotto by the time I leave Yas.
