Well I went there a few days ago with my best friends for a welcome party as We all have been abroad while in holidays.

I'm keen on Greek food and a Hummus fanatic so my girlfriend let me choose the place and the best hummus in town is near by East Putney station sadly far from home so I can't go often.

My friends arrive even before than me they had few traffic on the A4 which is yards from there, Andreas the owner and head Chef of the restaurant greeted, had them seated and even chated for a while with them.

We ask for mezze £15, it comes in 4 or 5 courses is well presented, fresh and has a bit for every taste with fish, squid, sausages, ham, grilled cheese, lamb and prawns. We asked for more pitas twice and more dips they were awesome so We could carry on chating with out rushing plus the Greek old music and it's village accesories all around make me feel out of London again.

I spoke to Andreas after the meal to thank for such a good time, We were totally satisfied, He stepped aside of the kitchen and talked to me while giving me a herbal tea, I thanked even more on the way home.
We were send some chopped fruits on the house; I took some hummus home of course.
The service could improve a bit though Me and my girlfriend have booked for next week already. We found out that they were on Facebook with all its menu.

i went to this restaurant, Yia Mas, for my friends 30th birthday on Saturday. There were 24 of us in all and i will not be returning which is unfortunate as i had high expectations. i am of Greek descent and the food was poor quality. there was not much of it, in fact my partner and i had to half a halloumi and lountza slice between us as they were not putting enough on a plate to satisfy one per person. i left the restaurant hungry and it was not worth the £20 per head that they charged as they had not fed us, it was a joke and the service was ao pretty poor and very slow moving. this is dissappointing.

This is a terrific Greek Cypriot restaurant - very friendly and reasonably priced, with excellent, authentic, Greek food. Provided you are hungry, I recommend the Meze (a Greek feast of many dishes).

Yia Mas has fantastic Greek Cypriot food, beautiful tender meat, friendly and hospitable service. We're looking forward to returning to Yia Mas soon and glad to have a great local greek at last.

Yia Mas was great. It really reminded me of my honeymoon in Rhodes. The quality of the food was excellent - espcially the seafood. I really felt like I was back at the beach. My husband enjoyed his lamb very much too, and has promised to take me back to Yia Mas again soon.
