This is the worst Malaysian restaurant I have ever been to in my life. It took them 35 minutes to serve our main course, and the quality is worse than those quick takeaways in Camden Market. We were extreme disappointed as the ingredients weren't even fresh, and the curries were just awful. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
my names barry,I was in the camden with a friend and we didnt know where to go for something to eat and to have a drink, from a distance we saw this bar called Zensai, we went in then we was greeted by plesant staff, the place was really clean, we went up stairs to sit and order food, on the menu it had alot of choice and the prices was fair for what you got and the portions were big enough to fill your stomach , the waiting time for are food wasn't to long of a wait (about 20mins wait for the main) which was plenty of time to get to know the person i was with and have a drink while i waited, after the food we went down stairs where the bar was, the bar staff was very friendly, and at that time it was happy hour which was really good cause we got two for one on drinks, made me a very happy man, i will defo go again and i would take all my friends, its a really good vibe there, 1st class all the way
Zen Sai is without a doubt the best restaurant / bar in Camden, if not North London. The staff are brilliant, theres always great music playing and the food is delicious! I cant big this place up enough! A must go!

Had a lovely evening with drinks and dinner at Zen Sai. Super value - cocktails were 241 and we had 3 courses for £25. Definitely worth checking out!

Cool bar. Walked past Zensai last week on my way home from work and decided to go in for a drink. Its a great venue, the waitress was very polite and friendly and the cocktails are worth trying!
Wonderful staff, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and great food to top it all off!

Zensai is one of those restaurants I always walk past and think - I must go there. After 4 months of 'musts' I finally went for dinner there on sunday! I have to say I wish I had done it sooner! The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated, with the restaurant section upstairs - away from the entrance and dance floor. We started with a couple of cocktails - I had the 'Mango Tree' and my partner had the 'Tattoo you'... both delicious. We had the spring rolls to start... Normally (especially in Camden) they are greasy and over cooked - these were wonderful and fresh! For main I had the Seabass which was perfectly cooked and flavourful! The bill came to a reasonable £16.50 each (very cheap seing as we had cocktails as well!)

I have been trying to go to Zensai as much as I can as its such a great restaurant. The food is great and is reasonably priced and you are always greeted with a smile!

I visited Zen Sai on my way home for work just for a quick drink. We ended up staying for ages! As soon as were settled in in the bar area, we thought we may as well stay for a bite to eat. I am so glad we did! The food was amazing! For starter, we shared the duck pancakes, which were the best i have ever had! I had the teriyaki salmon for a main which was cooked beautifully!! I urge you to go there! You wont be disappointed!

I have heard so many good things about this place...i have been only once before for a few drinks but never tried the food (it always looks so delicious!) We have a work xmas party there next week...ill report back....however judging by the reviews on various websites...it will taste delicious to!
Great to see that Zensai is back on the scene! It has always been one of my favourite places to go and visit!

Tried to visit this evening (Sunday 4th October) around 6pm and Zensai appeared to be boarded up and closed down.
A real shame given the very favourable reviews i have read.
Zensai is a beautiful restaurant which serves gorgeous malaysian and thai food.
I very tasty salt and chilli crabs rightly spiced with a nice kick.
The malayasian curry was a delight mildly spiced with soft potatoes.
They have a good selection of cocktails I had the mango tree a delicious drink made with mango, lime and passion fruits.
I will certainly go back to Zensai again.

Whenever I am in Camden I always make sure I go to Zen Sai.
Their food is to die for! Their Thai green Curry is incredible! Also their 'berries and jerries' cocktail is amazing!
Worst margaritas EVER. Even worse than the pre-mixed ones you buy in a bottle.

oh what a night!!!!!!!!!,we started of upstairs for dinner at 9pm and had some fantastic traditional malaysian food ,which was really well priced and tasted great,after dinner we went downstairs to the club/cocktail bar.
they had a really cool d.j and amazing cocktails so we spent the rest of the night dancing and drinking.at 2.15 we were the last ones to leave
best traditional malaysian food this side of kuala lumpur served with skill and passion ,
we had the divine beef rendang and a mongolian cream and black pepper chicken curry which was equally good,
they,ve got a relatively small wine list but my suggestion is to try the cocktails.
they were really are fantastic and quite original,many of them following the asian theme of the food.
if you love garlic,chilli,inventive cocktails and good service zensai is a good place to start
a real gem in camden towns grubby bar scene,no pints of beer or sticky carpets here.
the decor is funky ,retro and asian influenced,service is friendly and efficient,
but the high point of zensai is the cocktails,according to their press they,ve won quite a few competitions recently and after the first taste of one of their cocktails you,ll know why.
the bartenders are well versed in the classics,but i suggest you try some of their own creations,they really are fantastic.
at weekends they have d.js and it gets pretty hot and funky
camdens only proper cocktail bar,forget about the rest.
they've won lots of awards ,and deserve to.the drinks ,service and atmosphere are are all exceptional.
try the floridita or the great eastern martini,you wont be dissapointed
what a great place,my tip is ,start at the top of the cocktail list and try them all,they really are the best ive tasted.
they've won a few awards recently and you can tell why,no boring mojitos or cosmos,its all original stuff
zensai has to be my best dining experience this year,really beautiful surroundings and great service.the venue incorporates pan asian cuisine in their mezzanine restaurant and drinking and dancing downstairs in the bar.the menu covers traditional and modern asian food and the bar menu is both classic and inventive.its a welcome break from camdens bar and dining scene
brilliant pan asian cuisine,luscious surroundings,friendly service and the best cocktail list i've seen in a long time,really original ,inventive stuff without being too o.t.t.
