If you are going to serve simple, plain fish i has to be very fresh, of the best quality and simply prepared. My oysters were tasteless (apart from the over-salted brine they were served in) and my swordfish was NOT FRESH. When I complained to the waiter he was neither surprised nor concerned. The restaurant is also cramped and unpleasant and very expensive. Avoid.

I have very little that is positive to say about Zilli Fish. The tables were cramped, most of the staff were discourteous, it was too noisy and the food was below average. I had grilled seabass with spinach and pizza sauce(?), and a side of mash. Not only could I have made this at home and done a better job, but the mash arrived as I was finishing my meal, and I am sure it was of the instant variety!

My partner and I felt we had been robbed when the Zilli Fish bill arrived. I expected more and was really looking forward to the experience. Not recommended at all.

I went to Zilli Fish yesterday with my boyfriend and we were really disappointed. I ordered pasta with vongole and mussels and it tasted mostly of arrabbiata. My boyfriend ordered a risotto with sea food, where you could add other dishes to boiled rice (they had no risotto).

We complained about our meal and the manager didn't apologise, actually ignoring completely our opinions. The bill was £40 too, Zilli Fish was one of the worst Italian food experiences I've had in London since 5 years ago.

Zilli's is FABULOUS - they deliver the best risotto, service with a smile and at a great price. The environment is great for an intimate dinner or a group fun night out!

Went to Zilli Fish last night with my husband after being tempted by a special offer - two courses for £10. All I can say is don't bother!

As the special offer menu was so dull and restrictive we opted to go a la carte. The deep fried squid my husband ordered were overcooked on the inside and undercooked on the outside, the total opposite of how this dish should be served, the squid was so rubbery it took at least five minutes to chew each piece. The main courses were just as disappointing with the lobster ravioli in cream sauce, resembling something I cooked myself using a tomato and mascarpone cook in sauce from Sainsburys, except I'd have the sense not to pour it all over lobster! It completely destroyed the subtle flavour of the lobster and was so sweet and cloying, the only relief was that there was not much of it.

To add insult to injury when the bill came, we realised that the staff had added an extra two glasses of wine to our bill at an extra cost of £14. A bit cheeky I thought when it's not exactly a cheap date out.

Mr Zilli, put your house in order!!
