We went with 5 people and ordered 4 dishes, since one in our company is a child. He would share with us. After 1,5 still nothing was ready. One of the waiters said because of the meat; the other said because of the fish. We wanted to go away, but were kind of 'forced' either to stay or take away. We have chosen to take away, mind you : 90 pounds for shitty food.
My advise : stay away from this restaurant. It is expensive, the word service does not mean anything. And the quality of the food : is sucks !!
In the same street there are other places to eat. Each of them better than this no-good restaurant !
It was a beautiful , sunny day and this restaurant has a very good location, near Hyde Park, so, we decided to taste some Greek food.
The Greek music, the big outside windows offering an excellent view, the old paintings showing the white, Greek churches surrounded by the narrow streets around, the good smell coming from the kitchen, brought us nostalgia
We did wait a little bit, but lets be honest, this place provide hand made food, its not a take away Mac Donald, or defrost food.
Everything is brought fresh, from the fish or meat market every day..
Enjoy a taste of Greece in Bayswater, London..
Nunca me he sentido tan engañado.
The worst restaurant experience ever. Terrible service, rediculous expensive and small portions. I am still very upset I payed the bill. I should just leave. The restaurant is dirty and smelly. DO NOT GO THERE.
I would like to tell that this is the worst restaurant i've ever been in my life,,I was a visitor in london and its really sad when You receive this kind of experience..The Owner is a very shrewd person and is out on the street to invite you in..Once inside they take their own time in serving You..I was told that it's Greek food , but didn't match with any of the Greek food I'd experienced earlier..It was utterly disappointing..I didn't ask for a desert but was served with one..Since I was with my family I didn't want to create a scene there..and finally the bill was wrong to make the matter worse..PLEASE AVOID THIS RESTAURANT..It is better to eat a loaf of bread that to have anything from Zorba...
It's not good at all. Please avoid it!The "restaurant'"s manager is on the street to invite the customers coming inside (I think it is not polite).Anyway, the table service is very slow (I waited at least one hour for eating), the food is nothing special and the price is very very high.PLEASE AVOID IT!
This place should not be licensed. I don't understand how such a bad restaurant is allowed to be in operation. The whole thing is a fraud.
Keep away from this place.
I remember eating here and will never forget the bad service and manners of the manager who must of got out of bed the wrong side, as no one could be that grumpy all their life.
My squid (maybe it was maybe it was not ) has never tasted squid like it, vile with a long black hair underneath it, after complaining another one was bought out after half a hour (they were not even busy) and it was still frozen in the centre.
on to the mains which i never eat as i was served it on a dirty plate, after complaining again the manager was shouting at the waiter in Greek so did not understand what was being said, but i could understand the hand gesture from the manager, i then told him i was not happy and he and his restaurant had ruined what was meant to be a nice night out,i told him i was not paying the full bill and only giving him what i thought it was worth (which was not a lot)
after a bit of shouting from both sides and only after the other two customers backed me up as they was not happy either, we all received a poor 15% of our bills ,and we was all told to get out and not to return( as if we would) my wife and i and the other couple joined us for a lovely meal in a restaurant called Concordia further down the road, which i have to say was the best Italian i have had and the service was great, thank you Concordia x
My wife and I went to eat at Zorbas Saturday night, when we do venture out to eat we expect good service, excellent food,at a reasonable price , decor and ambiance to suit. Zorbas fulfilled none of these requirements, absolutely dreadful, the food was an outrage so much so we paid our £33.00 bill after I had to go to the cash point in the rain because the thier credit card machine was not working and left as damp about Zorbas as we were getting in the car to drive home The meat was cooked early in the day and warmed up skrawny looking cheap bits of lamb neck ends, my wifes Kalamiri(squid) was over cooked, wont mention my chips, I have thrown better away , How do you drink a keo beer from a Sam miguel pint glass? Dissapointingly is the answer. If you order taramousalata, be prepared to drink loads of water or beer, far to salty. I knew I should have ordered pizza delivery at home, Zobas? Is about as greek as my casio watch
My partner and I should have turned tail on entering Zorba Greek Kebab Taverna. Three dishes requested from the limited menu were unavailable, our rice failed to arrive and the price of wine undisclosed. It was not busy, yet service was erratic and slow. The final slap in the face came with the bill when charged for the complimentary pitta breads and four olives. Service charge of £6.50 was also levied.
As my partner and I endeavoured to explain our reluctance to pay the service charge, fellow diners remonstrated over vastly inflated prices and poor value for money. The two-man band running Zorba Greek Kebab Taverna appeared unconcerned - possibly a regular occurrence for them?
Zorba Greek Kebab Taverna has got to be the worst restuarant I have been to yet. The wine list consisted of a verbal red or white, no drinks' list was given.
The food was not expensive for a main course which was good until I saw the serving sizes. They were smaller then I'd expect for a starter.
The service at Zorba Greek Kebab Taverna was appalling and the way the head waiter handled our credit card was disturbing.
