The inaugural SUBWAY® Picnic Rocks features an exciting line up with singing
sensation Amy MacDonald headlining, supported by The Holloways, The Metros,
The Noisettes, openroom and more!
Amy MacDonald
Amy’s number one album ‘This Is The Life’ has just gone double platinum!
The teen sensation singer-songwriter credits influences as diverse as the
Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Libertines and Ewan McGregor as the inspiration
behind her powerful tunes.
The Holloways
The four young charmers from North London have been pretty busy of late
– just as well they’re still full of contagious energy after the success
of upbeat tracks such as ‘Generator’ and ‘Happiness and Penniless’.
The Metros
This South London five-piece electrify with their very own fusion of punk,
funk, rockabilly and pop and witty, gritty character songs.
The Noisettes
Unconventional and imaginative modern rockers, The Noisettes have been touted
as one of “10 Bands to Watch” by Rolling Stone magazine and “the new breed
of cool kids in town” by NME.
openroom
Southampton based openroom are quickly becoming one of the most talked about
bands in the South, creating music designed to move your feet.
Time and place
SUBWAY® Picnic Rocks is taking place at Clapham Common Bandstand on Saturday,
5th July. Gates will open at 12 noon. The event is scheduled to finish
at 20:00. All times are subject to change.
Tickets
Only 3,000 tickets are available for SUBWAY® Picnic Rocks. Tickets are
available at £14.50 each and entitle lucky attendees to the following:
- Entrance to SUBWAY® Picnic Rocks at Clapham Common Bandstand
- Live music from Amy MacDonald, The Holloways, The Metros and
The Noisettes
- Free 6” Sub from SUBWAY® stores
- Free picnic blanket for the first 1,000 people through the
gate
Every penny raised at SUBWAY® Picnic Rocks will go to Action Against Hunger
thanks to the generous sponsorship of SUBWAY® stores. The event is organised
by Action Against Hunger to raise money for its work in the fight against
hunger and malnutrition worldwide. Buying just two tickets to SUBWAY®
Picnic Rocks can buy a survival kit, enabling Action Against Hunger to
save the life of a severely malnourished child on the brink of death through
a one month treatment programme.

Restrictions
Children under 5 are not permitted. Children under 16 must hold a full
price ticket and must be accompanied by a guardian over 21 who will be
required to provide suitable proof of age. Please note that there is no
separate children’s area at the event.
The following items are not permitted in to the site including but not
limited to:
- Chairs, tables, barbecues, stoves etc
- Alcohol
- Glass or cans
- Food hampers
There will be no cash machines available on the Picnic Rocks site.
Standard compact cameras will be permitted, though you will not be able
to take in a professional camera i.e. a camera with interchangeable lenses
(SLRs). Camcorders or other recording equipment will not be permitted.

- Priority access at the main entrance
- A specific viewing platform for the mainstage
- Accessible, suitable toilets in the arena
Food and drink
Food and drink will be available for purchase at the event. You may bring
soft drinks in plastic or paper containers under 500ml as well as food
for personal consumption.
There will be a cash only bar on site. Bar staff will ask for proof of
age ID if the customer appears to be under 18. Proof of age will be required
before you are able to purchase alcohol. The onus is on the individual
to demonstrate that they are 18 years or over and if the individual cannot
do so they will not be served. To avoid disappointment, please bring suitable
ID.
