Since 1895 the Proms have presented the best in live music to wide audiences, with a huge line up of events and performances throughout the summer. Taking place for the 117th season this year the 2011 Proms feature over 70 concerts over 58 days of music festivities.

The Royal Albert hall will be raising the roof with a string of 76 concerts, showcasing world class orchestral music and solo performances in the heart of London. Hyde Park will be centre stage for Proms in the Park, a live open air concert on the Last Night of the Proms. Taking place for the 16th year, Proms in the Park 2011 looks set to be a huge affair yet again, with a line up of stellar singers and as per usual, the inimitable Terry Wogan.

Can't get your hands on good seats? Turn up early and you might be able to get a £5.00 ticket for standing spaces. All you have to do is show up in person to buy the tickets in cash, and it's first come first served.
