Brick Lane Takeover line up Although the 2011 Brick Lane Takeover line up is yet to be released, if it's anywhere near as good as recent years, it'll be good, with 2010 seeing the likes of Kill It Kid, Three Trapped Tigers, Cosmo Jarvis, Beatbullyz, The Paris Riots, Tim and Sam's band, Allo Darlin’, Hoodlums, Shackletons, Robinson, Sam Little, Steve Smyth, Jess Roberts, Dead Town Radio and Liz and the Ligers all taking to the stage - enough to keep ears more than happy.
Taking over Brick Lane
The Macmillan Brick Lane Takeover takes place at seven of East London’s best known and best loved venues, with 93 Feet East, Cargo, The Brickhouse, Cafe 1001, Vibe Bar, Rough Trade, Spitalfields Market all taking part. All these venues and all the bands and artists have very kindly waived their usual fees and expenses to help the cause, making this both affordable for party-goers and lucrative for Macmillan Cancer Support. And your wristband will gain you access to all seven venues all day long so if you get bored, just move on somewhere else.
