Carmen tickets will transport you to a world of gypsies, soldiers, bullfighters and smugglers as one of the most famous operas in the world returns to London at the the O2 Arena. The tragic love story that has enthralled audiences for more than a hundred years is back again and is guaranteed to be an incredible operatic event.

The opera
Carmen is one of the most well known operas, and the classic story has only gained in popularity over time. It’s known for having an outspoken, brash and even sexy female protagonist, which makes it stand out from other operas from its time period. The French score combines with a Spanish setting and the dances are tinged with a Spanish influence to make it an original experience that’s a must see for theatre and opera fans.

A scandalous opera
Although 21st century London residents wouldn’t think twice about getting Carmen tickets, when it first premiered it was called a disaster due to its risque content. 19th century French residents who attended the opening night were scandalised by the story’s violent and sexual content, and the original writer, Georges Bizet, never lived to see the opera’s eventual acclaim.

Musical highlights
Carmen is filled with musical highlights, and some of the better known pieces include the famous Habanera and the Duet, Gypsy, Flower and Toreador songs. The O2 Arenas performers are fantastic, exercising all their ranges and vocal skills for a memorable performance. And what's more, it will be played at one of London's very finest arenas, The O2 Arena.

All star cast and David Freeman
Carmen tickets will give you the chance to see the some of the top talents on stage and behind the scenes. This production of Carmen will be directed by acclaimed director David Freeman, with musical direction from Peter Robinson. Singing Carmen, in English, will be two great casts including Christina Nassif and Louise Poole as Carmen herself. The whole production will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra so your Carmen tickets will enable you to see only the very best.
