The Paradise Gardens festival hits East London as Victoria Park is transformed into a magical wonderland of festivities, fun, frolics and freebies. With everything from circus attractions, dance shows and live music, to street art, village fetes and lengthy bars, the Paradise Gardens festival returns with a very pleasant bang.

The Paradise Gardens festival will feature an impressive line up of musicians and artists who’ll be taking to the Paradise Stage right in the middle of Victoria Park. Although this year's line up is yet to be confirmed, visitors last year saw the likes of The Soothsayers, The Destroyers, the Solution Sound System and Sean Rowley’s Guilty Pleasures as Viccy Park was serenaded by some very fine music indeed.

Also on the Paradise Gardens Festival line up were The Silver Tree, who brought avant garde dance to proceedings, fusing circus and dance with a little bit of hip hop thrown in for good measure. There was also the Circus Ronaldo, the world-renowned circus which showcased their acclaimed La Cucina dell’Arte show for the first time in an outdoor venue in London. This year might even see their return so head down to Victoria Park and see what all the fuss is about.

And if you’re still not content, then Paradise Gardens should boast the return of Carters Steam Fair; the mighty Miniscule of Sound; a digital funfair; the Ken Fox Wall Of Death; tea dancing; the Parlure Spiegel Tent; and the perfect place in which to share your intellect with equally intelligent folk, the Bar of Ideas. So if you want to go to one of the summer’s most varied, interesting and different festivals, head for Paradise Gardens.

The Paradise Gardens Festival takes place in Victoria Park on Saturday 19th – Sunday 20th June 2010. The festival is free to attend, with some attractions charging for entry.
