The hills are alive and The Sound of Music tickets are on sale for one of the biggest musicals to hit the West End. Best remembered for The Sound of Music film starring Julie Andrews, the musical will appeal to fans of musicals, young and old.

Produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber and directed by Jeremy Sams, The Sound of Music tickets are selling extremely fast as the story of novice nun Maria comes to life in a spectacular new musical. West End audiences won't be able to stop themselves from singing along to one of the best-loved stories of all time.

Set in the stunning scenery of the Alps, it's no surprise that Maria frequently forgets her religious duties in favour of hiking in the hills. The covent quickly realise that the life of a nun isn't for her and recommend her for a position as a governess to the seven children of Captain von Trapp, a widowed naval officer.

The Sound of Music tickets invite you to accompany Maria as she discovers she is just the most recent in a long line of governesses hired to look after the children but quickly driven away by the little angels. Rather than try to instill education into their lives through a disciplinarian approach, Maria decides to introduce music into their lives, quickly earning their love and respect.

As Maria falls in love not only with the children but also with Captain von Trapp she settles into life at the villa. However, when the Captain introduces his fiancee to the group, Maria flees the villa in distress and seeks refuge once again in the covent. The course of true love never runs smoothly but encouraged by the nuns and bolstered by the love of the children Maria decides to fight for love, cue several showstopping songs.

Suitable for all the family, The Sound of Music tickets are proving exceptionally popular not least because of the uplifting, heartwarming story and glorious songs including Climb Ev'ry Mountain, Sixteen Going On Seventeen, My Favourite Things, Edelweiss and of course, The Sound of Music. The Sound of Music musical at the London Palladium is a must for all theatre fans. The nearest tube station is Oxford Circus.
