Windsor Wheel tickets will be available soon so if you’ve gone for a spin on the London Eye so many times that you’ve lost count but still love the idea of having a bird’s eye view then you’ll definitely enjoy the Royal Windsor Observation Wheel which will be open for a limited time only during the summer, from 10am – 9.30pm every day. Royal Windsor Wheel tickets will be allocated time slots for the wheel’s limited season from 1st May - 30th August 2010.
Take to the skies with Windsor Wheel tickets
The Royal Windsor Observation Wheel will be easy to spot from its location at the eastern end of Alexandra Gardens – it boasts gigantically impressive proportions, with a diameter of 180 feet (55 metres). At the cutting edge of technology, the Windsor Wheel has self-stabilising mounting helping to make each flight extra smooth from start to finish.
Big and beautiful
Windsor Wheel tickets give you the chance to marvel at the design of the Royal Windsor Observation Wheel as you smoothly take to the skies. The rim of the wheel is lit by a simple row of white lights and each of the 40 gondolas attached to the wheel has a pretty pearlised sheen.
Flights of fancy with Windsor Wheel tickets
Each flight lasts approximately 15 minutes, allowing ample time to soak up the spectacular views of Windsor and beyond. Simply step across the threshold of the gondola for an intimate sightseeing tour with a difference. Each observation pod takes a maximum of six people making them perfect for a private flight with friends or family.
Breathtaking views
When it comes to location, Windsor Wheel tickets are your passport to some of the most spectacular and historic views in the UK. Gaze along the River Thames, across Windsor, Eton and the surrounding countryside. The views are so spectacular from the observation wheel that you’ll even get up close and personal with the medieval towers and battlements of Windsor Castle, a favourite weekend retreat from the bustle of London for the Queen and also considered to be the largest inhabited castle in the world.
Jewel In Windsor’s Crown
The majestic town of Windsor makes a welcome day out from London and also attracts visitors from across the UK and overseas. The Royal Windsor Observation Wheel contrasts spectacularly with the history of the town – from the castle to the hundreds of mute swans which are owned by Her Majesty The Queen and the Vintners’ and Dyers’ Livery companies. With such spectacular subjects, the views from the Wheel can’t help but be tranquil, soothing and impressive all at the same time.
The Royal Windsor Observation Wheel is open for flights from 1st May - 30th August 2010. Trains to Windsor run from London Paddington and London Waterloo.
Royal Windsor Wheel tickets are a mere £6.50 for adults and £4.50 for children (booking fees apply).
