Not sure what old matey below is going on about. My friends and I find this pub to be extremely welcoming by both the staff and the manager.

The quiz night and theme nights are a laugh and unlike some places you walk through the entrance and immediately feel at ease. Definitely worth a visit for a few hours a week!
