The Rat Pack: Chinese New Year 2008

I used to live in Hong Kong and there was this great dim sum place on Kowloon-side which was huge. The waiting staff would roll gigantic hostess trollies around a massive dining room and serve up all sorts of dumpling-y treats.
As I barely spoke any Cantonese I used to just point at the bamboo baskets and hope that it wasn't piggy testicles or anything with tubes. Thankfully, it was all pretty tasty and in all the times I ever went I never got caught out with anything unsavoury.
Now back in London I love to go to Ping Pong, it serves great dim sum without the gristly gamble!
A Taste of the Future

The futuristic Inamo sounds fantastic, I'm just surprised it has taken so long to arrive in London.
I'll definitely be making a visit when it opens in May, I've been waiting for an opportunity to wear my silver lurex catsuit and dayglo deely-boppers!
I wonder what the loos will be like...?
Just Kidding Around

I think the previous comment is a little harsh. I believe that parents have a right to enjoy a social drink with their kids (not literally, I doubt my 6 year old would even get served at the bar!), in the right sort of pub.
However, I do think that parents should be aware that pubs are the domain of legal-aged adults not children and it isn't nice, even as parent, when your quiet drink is disturbed by screeching kids who are hyper on purple Fruitshoots.
And as for the Pizza Hut comment...shame on you!
Flipping Mad: Pancake Day in London

Pancake Day is quite an event in my house. We all have a go at tossing the pancakes (however disastrous the two-year olds may be), and we try to invent the most delicious and the most disgusting pancakes. Please note: Marmite and cream cheese do not make a good filling!
