Went to Bellaria recently as a group of 4 when my parents visited. We had a lovely evening, the staff were fantastic, very friendly, even when booking. The food is excellent, there seems to be a good choice of pastas, meat and fish dishes, even though i stuck to the vegetarian options. Would definitely recommend this restauarant.

Bellaria recently opened up near our offices at Oxford Circus so I decided to take some clients there for a business lunch. We had an excellent meal, the home made tortellini filled with four cheeses was delicious as was their deep fried calamari. Thoroughly recommend a visit to this authentic Italian restaurant.

Had the most fabulous meal at Bellaria. The staff were attentive and couldn't have done more for us, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food amazing. The freshly made pasta just has to be tasted and the best pannacotta I have ever had! We have no hesitation in recommending this great little restaurant and look forward to our next visit!

We dined at Bellaria last Friday and we were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic quality of the food.Being Italian I often find Italian restaurants in the Uk quite mediocre and you can imagine my joy at discovering such an authentic place.Pasta is made in the restaurant as well as all the desserts.Everything is presented so beautifully and the staff could not have been more attentive.Just wish this place was closer to my house.I have no doubt this place will achieve great success.Well done!

I ate in this great Italian restaurant last night with 4 friends and could not have asked for more. The food was excellent from the Bruschetta, to the Mushroom Risotto and not forgetting the divine Tiramisu. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the decor was tasteful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this superb restaurant to anyone.

I stumbled across Bellaria last night as I was walking back to Euston Station. What a great find. I was taken downstairs and was a bit concerned at first but as I entered the basement dining area I was so surprised, its great. I was told its an old bakery. Its so full of character! I ordered Calamari as a starter and it was cooked to perfection and the presentation was great. I followed that with Cod wrapped in Pancetta with Lentils. Once again a really great combination. The staff were friendly and I will definitely be walking that way again in the near future

My husband and I went for a meal at Bellaria Restaurant
I can say the food was delicious and the service extremely good. I definitely recommend Bellaria for a meal as the staff were very attentive from start to finish but also gave us time for a leisurely dinner without intrusion and of course the food fantastic. Will definitely go again.

Very Intimate lovely Italian Restaurant in Central London, booked a table for 2 in the downstairs area, must be seen. The food perfect, we ordered the asparagus for starters and had pasta and fish for our mains. the pasta was cooked to perfection, so rare to get fresh pasta, and as for the desserts well.......

Very good value for money with a fine wine list.

Italian at its best

would recommend......

Over priced. £6.50 plus 10% service charge for a thimble full of Grappa? The starters are tasty, average price £8 per head. The main courses are limited to Beef Steak, Chciken, or Veal. There are some fish courses as well. My friend and I had the sirloin steak with chips (frittes) and spinach. It was served on a wooden platter, (bread board), and the meat went cold very quickly. What has happened to Restaurants that serve beef steak to your choice, with a variety of sauces?

Have people forgotten the joys of a Madiera wine sauce, Chasseur, or all of those classic French wine and butter sauces?

I would say in closing, that a Restaurant of a very mediocre quality in central London that charges £100 for a 2 course dinner with one bottle of wine fro two, is expensive. This Restaurant is in that category.

I was at Bellaria last night with two friends and am quite shocked at this review surely we did not go to the same restaurant. My friends and I throughly enjoyed our three course meal and exquisite Italian wine as one would expect in an Italian Restaurant. I simply can not understand someone going to an Italian Restaurant and expecting Portuguese and French sauces. I would definitely go again and highly recommend this divine Italian Restaurant. Compliments to the Chef and very hospitable staff.

I don't really understand this review! I have dined at Bellaria twice now and found it to be reasonably priced with a wide range of food on the menu.

I still have my receipt from when I was there on Friday. I had a big Sirloin Steak £18.50 with a bottle of house red £12.95 hardly overpriced.

As for a choice of sauces with Steak, how very 1970's! If you are looking for steak and sauce maybe try the Aberdeen Angus steak house.

A great intimate restaurant with nice friendly staff I will be defintely be making this a regular place to visit!

Thank you to everyone for your comments and support since opening last week. I would like to respond to the initial review and rating from ‘Patrons’

Thank you ‘Patrons’ for your comments, we appreciate all feedback both good and bad.
I remember you and your friend dining with us last night and as I remember you ordered 2 pasta main courses as Starters (our starters are priced from £5.50 not £8.00 as you mentioned) and 2 Filet Steaks priced at £18.50 (our most expensive main course).

We have a wide range of dishes rather than the limited selection that you seem to mention including Fresh Pasta, meat and fish dishes all cooked freshly with the highest quality ingredients.

At Bellaria we pride ourselves on our quality of food . When asked about both courses you said you were very happy and your plates were retuned empty.
If you had spoken to us on the night and we could have rectified any issues there and then but now have lost that opportunity to make your experience more enjoyable

Ultimately the customer has the choice when dining out over what he or she orders including wine priced at £30.00 rather than one of our very good house wines priced more reasonably at £12.95

And if I remember rightly the second glass of Alexander Grappa was complimentary...

Regards
The Bellaria Team

We seem to have ruffled a few feathers with our review. This is a brand new restaurant, and as locals living very close to it, we wish it every success.

Perhaps there is some confusion has arisen here, regarding the starters on page one of the Menu. I took to understand that the home-made pasta dishes were part of the starters page, as that is the way the menu is laid out. The Bellaria Team correctly state that starters begin at £5.50. However, I did not say that they didn't, I said the 'average' is about £8 per head. It does seem to me that the way the menu is laid out is confusing. The wine menu is certainly very good and I was most impressed to see that all of the reds were Italian. This is commendable.

I personally do like to see a couple of meat dishes with sauces, if that makes me a '70's throw back' then so be it! It is not right to say that all sauces are French and Spanish or Portugese, there are many savoury sauces in Italian Cuisine, often served with liver or beef. The Boss is quite right to say that I was given a complimentary glass of grappa, however I think I am also right to say that £7.15 including the 10% service charge, is much too expensive for a grappa. I do apologise for my use of the word 'mediocre', this was uncalled for as the food I had was very tasty. The problem was the steak served on a wooden platter, it cooled so quickly that it was room temperature before I was half way through it.

I wish the restaurant every success.

excellent addition to central London! great food and very good prices for such good quality (which is rare in London). the wine list was also excellent, well sourced, with wines I had only seen in Italy before! The staff were very helpful but not intrusive. I agree with the reviews above, the downstairs is so pretty and atmospheric! will definitely go again!!

Thought we try this new Italian restaurant and we weren't disappointed! Lovely restaurant with outdoor areas (can't wait to return during the summer).

Great quality Italian, freshly made pasta (ravioli was amazing!), attentive and friendly staff made for a very enjoyable and relaxing meal.

Check out the downstairs area in what used to be the old bakery ovens which are transformed into individual dinning areas.

Will definitely be returning very soon.

Went with my girlfriend to Bellaria in a nice week day dinner. The staff was friendly and helpful, the dishes were well presented and the food really good! The chef came over to talk to us and explained that the pasta we had ordered was a freshed made one and once you have your first bite you can feel the difference.
Also check out the room downstairs... so lovely.
I recommend the place if you fancy a nice Italian food and def going back there more times.
