100 Minutes of Havana at Village Underground

Art doesn't get more contemporary than the 100 Minutes of Havana at Village Underground. For one night only, two teams of artists will go head to head in a fierce competition to create the most vibrant and passionate wall mural, and fans of the creative process can watch the art battle as it unfolds at the Village Underground in March.

100 Minutes of Havana at Village Underground
Organised by the rum giant Havana Club to celebrate the passion and diversity of Cuban culture, the 100 Minutes of Havana at Village Underground challenge will see 10 artists, organised into two teams, create a wall mural using coloured acrylics. No pencils or plans will be used in this freestyling, spontaneous creative event, so the end result will be a surprise for all involved.

Get involved
If you fancy a bit of audience participation to go with your arts event, then the 100 Minutes of Havana at Village Underground challenge is your chance to get involved. The winners of the 100 Minutes of Havana arts challenge will be judged both by a panel of experts and the audience, who will be able to show which team they support by cheering into a decibel reader.

The 100 Minutes of Havana at Village Underground art battle will take place at 7.30pm, Wednesday 4th March 2009. It's free to attend the event, but space is limited: email Havana@balancepr.com for more information and to get on the guest list.
