Looking at the world of design and creativity in close up, the 100 Percent Design London fair comes to Earls Court this September to inspire and excite.
London Design Festival event
Part of the London Design Festival, the 100 Percent Design London event features hundreds of seminars and talks so this is the place to be if you are interested in architecture and design. Looking at all kinds of issues like low carbon building, new and advanced technology, sustainability in architecture and building design, the show will host a wide range of topics for discussion and is set to be an inspiration to anyone in London's design industry.
2011 programme
A full seminar programme allows design fans to get to grips with new and exciting innovations, while the installations will show off all the talent at the show. This year, you can take in all the inspiring designs at the showincluding animal inspired furniture of epic proportions from Maximo Riera, freshwater pearl tiles from Shellshock Design and textiles from Mike Tay Studios in Singapore. Along with plenty more exciting and unusual designs on show again for 2011.
Show highlights
One of the stars of the 100 Percent Design London fair 2011 is sure to be Hello Futures, the A-Z of materials curated by Chris Lefteri. Featuring smart materials such as Piezo electric ceramic which can generate electricty from movement, the energy aware light that expands depending on how much energy it uses, and Catalytic Clothing which uses materials that have air purifying agents, making this certain to be a major draw for technological loving fans of design and manufacturing.
100 Percent Futures
Other highlights of the 100 Percent Design London 2011 show include the 100 Percent Futures area, where you can catch up with the hottest new design talent around. Back once again with the specially dedicated gallery for the young, fresh and up coming talent of the moment, this is the place to see the future of design evolve before your eyes, meaning visitors to the 2011 show can expect just the same level of inspired design as in previous years.
The 100 Percent Design London fair runs from Thursday 22nd September - Sunday 25th September 2011. Opening hours for trade and designers are yet to be confirmed.
Entry for the public is Sunday only.
