I liked it much more, when it was London Apprentice
Stay away from 333 Club! We went there to celebrate my friend's birthday in 333 Club as we found an advert and it sounded very promising. The music was going to be from all over the world; however, we spent the whole night listening to the techno music. But it wasn't the worst! When we decided to leave and collect our coats from the cloakroom my friend realized he did not have his scarf. The girl in the cloakroom wasn't helpful at all. She even did not want to check if the scarf dropped on the floor and she called the manager.
When the manager arrived I was completely shocked by his behavior. I work with children on the autistic spectrum and they have more social skills then this person. Apart from talking on the phone when we tried to explain to him what had happened he said it is our fault we lost it and left. When we tried to talk to him he used abusive language and signs. His rude behavior and arrogant attitude wasn't something we expected from the professional who runs such a big club in the centre of London. I would suggest for Mr Rude to go to the professional development course to gain some communicative skills and for people who want to visit this dreadful place to wait until the management improves their service!
I just came on here to check out what was hot this weekend, and stumbled across these awful reviews about 333.
Sorry previous bloggers bar the last one but your chatting shit.
Drinks are average for the area and are nothing compared to Central London, complaining about £5 for a vodka and coke?, try paying £10.
I went there about a few weeks ago and had the most amazing time the music was awesome fidget house, electro, dub-step,break-beat.
cannot tell the last time i partied so hard..did i mention there was a foam party in the basement..
..and a cool little photobooth upstairs..sweet!
will definetely go there again maybe even this weekend.
I live in hoxton and I've seen 333 change over the years and been on nights that are amazing and ..
.. not so great but I have to say out of all the the clubs and bars in London you'll never find anywhere like it, it's one of a kind!!
Such a mixture of people famous, trendies yuppies, musicians, artists a few scruffs sprinkled in there.
If i had a choice of anywhere to kick up my heels to decent music (not regurgitated indie pop shit that so many shoreditch nightspots spit out over and over again) this would be my place of choice!!
My visit to 333 was undoubtably the WORST clubbing experience of my life!
The venue was not worth a penny of the £10 entry fee I paid.
Went on a friday night (7/11/08); place was busy and was optimisitc about the night ahead.
1. The sound cuts out completely for over 5 minutes at about 1:30 for no reason. I know these things happen but i've never had to wait around that long.
2. From sites i'd seen, 333 has been described as a small/medium venue but in a good kind of intimate/down to earth way. However, the layout of the whole place was poor, for example the dance floor at the side of the bar was really light, which is not good for a 'club'.
3. Worst thing of all was that they turned ALL the lights on at 3am! On the flyer it was meant to open til 5, and the djs were on til past 4 (per the setlist).
Looked over to the bar and the barstaff were all packing up for the night and no longer serving. When we wanted to know why they were closing ahead of schedule they grunted and shrugged their shoulders. Useful. So they were getting ready for closing for the night 2 hours ahead of schedule, despite the club being about two thirds full at this point.
Worst place ever, don't waste your time or money on this shockingly poor venue. Not worth it. Poor staff attitued and shockingly poor management. worst club in london by a LONG way
I signed up to this just to write this review. I went to 333 last night. It was: filthy overprised, with arrogant staff, pretentious people trying to look like they dont care including l.e.d beltbuckles with ironic messages. Even worse memories include: the 30st whale in a snoopy thong covered in the dirt and sweat from the floor being the only female on the dancefloor, the uperclass dj downstairs trying desperately to be urban playing the outhere brothers, the cloakroom que that took a hour, having my phone stolen, and just generally smelling of urine.THE WORST CLUB EVER, EVER. AVOID!!!!!! i would give it no stars but I dont think u can
Ridiculously over priced drinks - £5 for a vodka and coke wheras next door it was £3.30 and it wasn't even happy hour!
Incredibly rude and degrading bouncers.
Though the atmosphere was great, the music was great and everybody appeared to be having a fantastic time!
The worst place in London. £8 to get in. RIP OFF drinks (£8.80 for a double vodka and splash) and the place closes at 2am. It's TERRIBLE and you will have the worst night. You're better off throwing your money away.
Never EVER go here. It smells bad, they have made NO effort on decor, its expensive, music is terrible, nearly everybody in there smells of sweat...women included, and its just full of people trying desperatly to look like they "dont care" about appearance but unfortunatley for them they have tried way to hard cos nearly all of them look like idiots. Its the sort of place that you used to go to when you were under drinking age cos they would let you in for a quid, pints were a £1.50 and you might be able to "pull" someone so you didnt care that it was astonishingly bad. But this place costs a tenner and drinks are about 4 quid and you are guaranteed to leave shell shocked that youve spent your hard earned money on such an absolute dive. As you can probably tell...im not too happy i wasted a night there!
I have seen hundreds of discos around Europe and 333 is the worst one. I didn't expect London to have such places. The entrance fee is outrageous for the service provided, and the clock room charges £2.00 but takes no liability. Plus the music was really bad. The video looping throughout the four screens was something that has to be seen to be believed.
As for the girls in 333 all I can say is that they were pretty much all disgusting. At one point of the night one nice girl came inside the disco, maybe it was a mistake or maybe she's been paid. After 15 minutes she was gone for good. Seriously not recommended to anybody.
Rip off!
333is the worst club I have been to in London. I read about the club online and liked the idea of three floors with different kinds of music... It costs a fortune to get in, but I thought that it might be worth it.
But, when I came, around 23.30, they were playing some kind of awful jungle drums music on the groud floor, so I wanted to check out the rest of the club. Where were the stairs? Oh no, the rest of 333 was closed and they were not planning on opening it until 1am. If I didn't want to lose my money, I would have to listen to jungle drums for 90 minutes.
I am not the first person not liking this place and I hope that everyone feeling this way will spread the word and force them out of business. It is a great place, great location, lots of potential, but to summarize it: Rip off! Spread the word!
333 was fantastic. Spent a fortune in there and had excitable young people throw drinks around while listening to Jump Around on a seemingly endless loop, only interupted by wedding reception grade mixing. Try the 333 experience for yourself by standing in the shower fully clothed whilst listening to 'Now That's What I Call Hip Hop' and feeding £10.00 notes into a shredding machine.
I have been to 333 a few times in the past and it has gone downhill since my first visit.
333 has a dirty feel and is full of sweaty people off their faces. With a bit of TLC this could be a good club, but at the moment it's a poor club compared to the ones around it.
On the other hand, Mother bar upstairs is a great night out with good people and good music.
333 is a shit place. The music sucks, people are not friendly, staff are just too stuck up. The crazy staff are not friendly at 333. Be aware of thefts, I have had friends lose stuff here. You might as well just go to T Bar or Mother Bar, instead. Mother bar is great during the week.
We went to 333 for my birthday night out. It was gone 12 which was good, because there were enough people dancing but it wasn’t too crowded. I actually had a wicked night until I had all my cash and my phone stolen from my handbag. 333 know all about it but seem completely uninterested.
Otherwise, the venue was cool, the music in the basement was wicked but I don't think I'll be returning to 333. I have lived in London all my life and have never been subject to theft, even at festivals or on the tube. I don't want to start worrying about it now.
A group of us went to 333 for my birthday and it was a disappointment. It has to be the worst club I have been to in my 5 years in London. Dark and dingy, only 2 floors open and a complete meat market. Not only that but the door staff and bouncers were so rude. 333 doesn't deserve even 1 star.
Why is 333 closed on a Sunday? Reopen please 333?!
333's perfect if you like your Indie and Electro. 333 has a stylish, unpretentious crowd, great music and loads of fun!
333 is not bad. It's one for if you are not having a crazy one or moving on. I don't consider it a club, anyone who thinks it is needs help. 333 is alright and a nice little warm up. Sadly people stand in there like it's Narnia. Old news, people.
As well as there being a leak and it smelling of sewage, the people at 333 were not very pleasant, and the floor was concrete with holes everywhere.
The basement was supposed to play bashment and hip hop but all we got was noise. 333 is the worst club I have ever been to.
333 has long queues mainly because Mother bar is free but it's certainly not worth the wait. The Mother bar is full of men despite their supposed couples only policy.
Inside, it is just an average pub and you really might as well be somewhere else spending your hard earned cash. Some of you may think that you will find good looking people and cool music at 333 but nothing could be further from the truth.
You would be better off staying at home and watching a re-run of last year's news.
333? Frankly it sucks. No atmosphere, full of eejits, not as cool as it thinks it is and the staff are clipboard nazis happy to take your money but treat you like shit when it suits them. Avoid 333 if you respect your safety and sanity...
333 is by far the best club in London! It's not too big and has its own unique style. Being from the U.S I was looking for a club exactly like 333 and to find it was beyond awesome. The music was insanely crazy and was mixed so well and the people...what can I say about the people? Just awesome. You are so free to be yourself in 333. It's a must for any clubber in London and number 1 on my list when I return.
I felt compelled to write a review on 333, if only to caution others. I have to say that it was the worst club I have ever been to. The music was appalling - upstairs was cheesy 80s tracks and the music in the basement level was almost unbearable. 333 is grotty and the atmosphere was such that I wanted to leave as soon as I had walked in the door. Some of the crowd at 333 were OK but for the most part it left a lot to be desired. Everyone else I have spoken to has agreed - 333 is one club that is definitely to be avoided.
Lets admit it 333 is basically gagging to sell out and become a "Leicester Square" club! It's aiming to be a commercial-cheesy-pop-culture-style of club that happens not to play cheese. It milks it (and you) and has its head up it's own you-know-what, with no style and will turn a good night out bad.
333 has become one to avoid, that's my honest opinion.
I've been to 333 a few times and was very impressed the first time I went. There was wicked music and it's great having three floors full of fab music. Although the spinning light eyesore on the ceiling is really off putting and started to make me feel very sick. However, this could be due to one too many drinks or the lights. I returned to 333 on a Thursday and was a bit disappointed as only one floor was open. It still had decent music but took a while to get served at the bar which was a tad irritating. Nevertheless, I'll be going back to 333!
I'm not from London, but I visited 333 once and it was cool, good vibes and kind people and all that stuff...
The 333 club does not open until 22:00 and then gets filled in by eleven. I went on a Saturday and it was mostly youngsters, well, I mean, in their twenties...Very informal dressing, some interesting characters and some good dancers, very good atmosphere and what I like most: nobody gives a damm what you wear, do, or dance like, as long as you are not bothering anybody. I had a good time.
Went to 333 last Saturday and was really impressed. Only £5 to get in before 11 pm, and really great DJs. I went with some friends who normally hate techno music and even they liked it!
I'd been hearing of this club for ages and last week me and my friends decided to go and see if it really was "the coolest place in shoreditch" as people had been tellin' us...
well, the music was not so bad, and the decor is quite cool, but that was all, the place just didn't impress us, and I wish I'd gone somewhere else!!!
